Lan is giving off major 'eldest daughter' vibes
I'm just at the part where Lan duels Gam, the fist that tried to kill Hilo and yep yeah I think Lan is my favorite character right now, I'll go look for fanarts of him when I'm at 50%

The way you know I liked a book when i actually remember the characters names after finishing it
Hi again,
I finished the Greenbone Saga and Ouch!
It was so wonderful though, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and man oh man its fascinating the feeling of "growing up" with all of them. To see who they are and who they'll become. It was such a wonderful experience. Thank you for singing its praises it really did keep me reading!
Haha I was wondering if you had finished it! The way that Jade Legacy emotionally shatters you is top tier haha. but I’m so glad you liked it!! I totally agree that getting to grow up with the characters throughout the series was one of the best things about it!
the best way to cope with a character's fate is obviously to write about him getting railed 😔🙏 ion, my fuck-or-die green bone saga mlm fic feat kaul lan is now up !
It’s that time of a year again of which I am obligated to remind you that the green bone saga is still a masterpiece and I now wonder if it’s been long enough since I last read it that rereading it would be like reading it for the first time.
i'm 10% into jade war and lan is really just going to haunt this entire narrative huh
Forever thinking about Kaul Lanshinwan....
Something about his death just refuses to leave my mind - it's how unfinished is arc is, how little solace we are offered. He was not murdered, he stumbled and drowned. He was overburdened and then he dies!! I understand that his compassion was his strength in an environment that increasingly respected shows of brute force, but the lack of fanfare for his death just seems like the quiet loss of hope, maybe? The triumph of clan savagery.
And he, as a man of peace, catalyses the outbreak of war. Without the support of his family he fails, with his failure his siblings are united. Idk :(
