I finished the Greenbone Saga and Ouch!

It was so wonderful though, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and man oh man its fascinating the feeling of "growing up" with all of them. To see who they are and who they'll become. It was such a wonderful experience. Thank you for singing its praises it really did keep me reading!

Haha I was wondering if you had finished it! The way that Jade Legacy emotionally shatters you is top tier haha. but I’m so glad you liked it!! I totally agree that getting to grow up with the characters throughout the series was one of the best things about it!

Something about his death just refuses to leave my mind - it's how unfinished is arc is, how little solace we are offered. He was not murdered, he stumbled and drowned. He was overburdened and then he dies!! I understand that his compassion was his strength in an environment that increasingly respected shows of brute force, but the lack of fanfare for his death just seems like the quiet loss of hope, maybe? The triumph of clan savagery.

And he, as a man of peace, catalyses the outbreak of war. Without the support of his family he fails, with his failure his siblings are united. Idk :(

Working on the art for this was a real joy, since GBS is one of the best fantasy series I've read in recent years. I was able to incorporate lots of inspiration from Southeast Asia, where I live, and Hong Kong eateries + Chinese martial arts dramas. I absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for outstanding character writing, a gripping and heart-wrenching plot that spans clan drama to political intrigue and economic warfare, and extensive worldbuilding.

The trilogy has been shipped out to TBB subscribers already, and additional sets will be available on general sale to the public some months from now.
