Once again using this blog as a journal but like. The concept of doing things little you would have loved resonates a lot with me but in a weird way I guess?

Because I do that, but in a reverse engineering kind of way I guess? I have like no memories of my childhood at all, and very little of my teenage years as well. So I write because I know I used to write as a kid, not because I remember but because I have notebooks full of stories in chickenscratch. I learned how to make teddy bears because there's a few pictures of kid me with a specific teddy that I have no recollection of, but it appears so often and on photos that aren't that old either. I remember why I stopped painting in 2020, but I don't remember how I started or what I used to paint, because all my stuff was thrown away but four paintings; three hung up by my mother that were impersonal school projects, one unfinished I've been carrying for years. I know I used to sculpt because I still have multiple half used clays, I know I used to draw because my family still believes I do and gift me art supplies for birthdays.

So going back to some of these things and finding out what I enjoy about them kind of feels like reverse engineering who I am and who I was, because I just have no idea. I don't have a favorite color or food or movie. I just have a very strong love for self-expression through art, without any sense of self. But kid me is still smiling inside, so I guess she's not that far away.

I forgot, but I have Bluesky! I’ll be posting fics there, Twitter (until it dies or pisses me off), and here! (AO3 too) but my updates or just me talking go mostly on Twitter/BlueSky.

I’m going to hopefully post that 2nd chapter for Scent of Idiots before this weekend. Because I won’t be here next week and my weekend is going to be fairly busy.

I have followers on here oddly enough I know and I havent interacted on Tumblr normally but with everything going on over on Twitter where I’m active every day....I’ll be here more at least until that fixes itself.
