So realistically, how long is the “Jiwoo’s cat is his mentor in disguise” gimmick going to work before people start getting suspicious of how old he is? It could probably be argued that awakened animals have longer lifespans, but how long would people accept that excuse for?
I’m just imagining Jiwoo in his twenties still bringing the same fat cat to his matches and people desperately trying to figure out how the hell his cat is 20+ years old, especially since Casein Nitrate was already well into adulthood when Jiwoo found him.
Even better if it continues into his thirties. At that point people have to stop thinking “oh wow this cat has lived a really long time” and start thinking “okay what the hell is going on here”
And Then It Keeps Going
Jiwoo is forty. He’s made the top ten. That same goddamn cat is still sitting on the sidelines judging everyone at every match. Cain’s world has been shattered.
