My fav persistently stupid jjba headcanon is kakyoin's parents thought he was strange but at least was a good student who wanted to study to be a doctor, because they kept finding library textbooks on sicknesses of the mind and body (he was trying to figure out if hierophant green was symptomatic of some mental illness (bear in mind this is 80s Japan)) (eventually concluded it wasn't because he can photograph himself using it to hold up an object, and that object would be, from an evidence perspective, floating) (when he was a kid he would talk about seeing spirits and both parents reacted so negatively he had the sense to not bring it up again) (both in denial about stuff moving in the house when they know nobody touched it) (the bizarre dynamic of parents who cannot reach their faraway friendless child, too rational to say he's haunted, too astute to completely deny there is something very strange) (they did NOT like the stash of hierophant green manipulating physical objects photographs!) (one of them he used his stand to take a photograph of himself from a distance) ("Be truthful. Who took this picture?" he said he tied it to a string but they both cannot believe him and cannot fathom any alternative explanation) (what can you be other than deeply unnerved and sorry for your incomprehensible, lonely and possibly haunted child). but at least he wants to go to medical school. At his funeral they said he wanted to be a doctor
