Hello people! Long time no see!!! I have been so caught up in various craziness this month that I did not get the time to post anything. But here I am again!!! I am still trying to complete my posts for the #readwithpride readathon. The readathon was hosted by @shebusybee_ @kitaabeinaursukoon @doyouevenreallyread and @thewrittenjourney_ Princess Princess Ever After by Kay O'Neill ⭐⭐⭐/5 Stars. I have read The Tea Dragon Society by Kay O'Neill and after reading that trilogy, this book didn't live up to my expectations. I mean it was nice but not that good. Despite being a graphic novel, the book kind of confused me in some bits. The story was a retelling of Rapunzel and that princess is one of my favorite. It also had an element of Snow White with the evil sorceress but in the middle, the book lost its grip making me feel not only just confused but also bored. The illustrations were super cute and that was the one thing that took away my heart. The book represented the LGBTQIA+ community and the message that even a princess can be fierce and fight instead of just wearing tiaras and quivering behind guards when someone attacks strongly gave out the message of women empowerment and that element was super awesome. So overall, this book was really good but didn't live up to my expectations and that got me a bit disappointed. You should still give this book a try as it is a short read and also cute.
