How I like to imagine Kanej after their first kiss:

What if Kaz look likes his father? And one day an old friend of his father comes to Ketterdam and looks to Kaz and be like wait he looks like my old friend. so...we all know kaz is smart right? really good at math(and scheming), he canonically does the taxes for the crow club in his head. but my question is, how did he get so good? because his level of formal education is like 2nd grade max. im stumped, so rb with your ideas

I just realized the irony.

Wylan — hated physical touch as a child, craves it now.

Kaz — physical touch was his love language as a child, now can’t be touched without having a level four panic attack

And one of my biggest headcanons is that Jesper is a naturally touchy person. I’m pretty sure it’s canon. He wraps an arm around Inej, when he gets excited he grabs onto Matthias’s arm, he’s not above hand holding with Nina or Wylan in public, he gives great hugs, he rests his chin on people’s shoulders from behind, he’s just naturally really touchy.

And Kaz, in himself, has touch starved himself to the max. So if he ever heals from his trauma and actually becomes physically available to the people around him (he’s still a black cat in human form so he doesn’t like too much touch), he never noticed just exactly how touchy Jesper was until it was happening to him.

lmao I think jesper would instinctively flinch the first few time he touched kaz because its canon that anyone who touches kaz gets beat up

but he would keep doing it, and kaz would pretend not to care, but it would mean sooooooo much more to him than he let on

AND another HC: Kaz can recall in disturbing detail exactly how Jordie’s cold, dead blister-ridden skin felt. He can recall the pain in his leg and the feeling of water around him. Inej has entire months completely gone from her memory. She was heavily dissociating so much in the menagerie, it’s insane. The only reason she can tell anyone shit about it is because she kept a journal and wrote everything down.
