ok but what were aaron and andrew doing in the middle of the night? were they hiding a body lmao

I am so glad you asked this because I was definitely getting distracted with the whole Andrew might be an ass to Aaron, but he’s super fucking ride or die and will drop everything to help Aaron in the middle of the night and then never mention it again aspect of that post.

Okay, so real talk, I posted that without knowing exactly whose body they were burying, but with a strong sense that what they were up to was probably something along the lines of: oh fuck, someone ended up dead and Aaron doesn’t know what to do and this definitely is not going to look good while Aaron already has a murder trial coming up.

So I imagine Aaron’s night went a little something like:

Aaron runs into one of Tilda’s piece of shit ex-boyfriends

Aaron tries to ignore said piece of shit ex-boyfriend while already getting angry

But the piece of shit recognizes Aaron and follows him

They guy starts talking to him, but Aaron’s still mostly planning on walking away from him

Okay, so maybe he’s debating punching him first

And then the guy asks what Aaron’s skank of a mother is up to these days and Aaron full on attacks him without his brain even fully registering the decision to hit him

The dude lands and cracks his head open and Aaron definitely was not planning on killing him

But like who the fuck is going to believe Aaron when he already killed Drake by intentionally smashing his skull in to get him off of Andrew?

Especially when this isn’t some stranger he got in a fight with

It’s his mom’s scumbag ex that he has a history with

A guy he has openly hated since he met

And now he’s lying dead on the ground and his blood is on Aaron’s shoes and Aaron’s brain is hardly working

Fuck, he’s glad there’s no one around and it’s so late, but he’s still in shock and his brain is barely even working

The blood is getting on his shoes, so he backs up and takes them off

He takes off on instinct and dumps the shoes in a dumpster

It isn’t until he’s made it back to the dorms that he realizes how fucking stupid that was to just leave the body there when he has a connection to the guy he just accidentally killed

Plus, he has no clue if anyone knows he was anywhere around there

Aaron has to stop to throw up outside the building when he starts thinking about this too much

He’s sure he’s going to screw this up and then people are going to see that he ran away instead of reporting it and they are going to get even more suspicious than they already are and Aaron’s going to go to jail for even longer than he would otherwise

He shows up at Andrew’s door feeling borderline hysterical

All he says is “I need your help.”

But him saying that to Andrew is enough for Andrew to know it is urgent, even if he has yet to notice the fact that Aaron isn’t wearing shoes

When he gets in the hallway, Andrew notices and tells him to go get shoes from his dorm and don’t say anything to Matt

Aaron does as he is told and comes back out with different shoes on

Andrew doesn’t ask any questions and Aaron doesn’t say anything about what happened until they’re in Andrew’s car a few streets away

And then Andrew is perfectly silent as Aaron tells him what he did

Aaron was afraid of Andrew’s reaction, but the fact that Andrew doesn’t react is somehow worse?

Andrew is just calm and collected and it is what Aaron needs, but it is also terrifying

Andrew’s not asking about what the guy said that made Aaron lose it

He asks if anyone’ll be looking for him or if they’ll just assume he got drunk and passed out somewhere and choked to death on his own vomit

Aaron feels a fraction less panicked when he realizes that the guy kind of is a drunk who keeps borrowing and stealing money from people and then disappearing on them

Which is one of the reasons why Aaron hated him so much when the piece of shit kept robbing him and his mom and Aaron was relieved when he just took off

Andrew is so fucking calm

How is he so fucking calm?

They spend the night burying the body and burning clothes and shoes and establishing exactly what they’re going to say if the cops ever do find anything out and come poking around

And getting Aaron just the right amount of drunk that he calms the fuck down so he won’t act totally fucking weird when he gets back to the dorm, but not enough that he might start sharing how he spent his night

And Aaron is so relieved to have Andrew’s help, but he’s also so horrified by how much better Andrew is at handling all of this

And then they agree not to talk about it again and Aaron still expects Andrew to hold this over his head

And he kind of feels like he deserves to have it held over his head, even though the thought makes him feel so sick

Thinking about the night at all makes him feel like he’s going to throw up

And he’s got a whole new kind of nightmares to add to the Drake ones

And Andrew walks around like none of this has happened at all

And never once does he bring it up or even vaguely reference it again, around Aaron or otherwise
