My past is a blueberry bruise and A strawberry slush of scattered scars.  

I used to be a meticulous collector Of various bruises and wounds.   An entire fucking museum of pain!   Going out into the streets just to get hurt,   Jogging on wet grass to just to slip and get bruised,   Climbing up on that skateboard and skating straight Down a high ramp when it's probably my second time Standing on that board.   Zero protection, speed a hundred,   Just for the sake of falling (Or maybe, just seeing if I'll stand)?   Falling! Bruising!  

Welcome to my Scar-tuary!   I am a Tom Sawyer or an Anne of Green Gables Telling the lore of my life through the scars.   I miss not having to be careful.   Of riding my bike down a mountain hill Without thinking that stones scar   And falling hurts. 

We all have stupid scars from something stupid That we did in childhood.   My past is a blueberry bruise   And strawberry-sundae scratched legs.   Showing up at my show-and-tell,   Showing-and-telling about how I fell Off the bike this weekend.   I nearly died just for the thrill of it, I nearly did just for the thrill…

Would it hurt if I touched the flame of a candle?   Would it hurt if I let it burn the place where My wings got cut off, so maybe, it can hurt less?   Burning back the wings onto the backs of wounded dolls Using a cigarette lighter to melt where the plastic broke off. Can the stupid scars of the stupid things I did Without second thoughts in childhood Burn my wings back on me using a cigarette lighter?

I carry in my hands

Worry makes a bed in my spine
