TAB Events: #KKBlog5 Kitty Bradshaw 5 Year Blogiversary!!

So, earlier in July I went out to celebrate the five year anniversary of a friend of mine's blog! While NYC was gripped in a heat wave, Kitty Bradshaw was celebrating five fantastic years of bringing a West Coast perspective of all things NYC to her readers. There's no doubt about it, managing a blog is hard work and takes a lot of dedication. So, being able to maintain one for five years and counting while continually reaching new heights is definitely something to celebrate! 

Friends & colleagues came together in the heart of NYC's Garment District to celebrate with yummy treats from Golden Krust, The Dessert Stylists and Tipsy Tasty Cup Cakes while sipping a little bubbly from Barefoot Wine. Meanwhile living models from the specially tailored line Jag & Co mingled with guests. And of course, no event is complete without a gift bag & this one featured great consumer brands like Command, Tide Pods and Epilady!

Jag and Co: Style's (Jenna Rose: In My Jeans Sensation "Baby Trigg")

There are many places to draw inspiration. My mind can take me from the Halls of Montezuma to the Tuxedos of Givenchy.. I love designing and no matter where my inspiration draws from, I'll create with many people in mind. These are from my showroom. I was called in to dressa new artist named "Trigg." He is a 16 year old artist that wrote, produced and spit 16bars in the YouTube Sensation "Jenna Rose" In Those Jeans. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFIa9lTrJng.

Jag and Co: Behind the Scenes of Our LyfeStyle Event

So I don't really enjoy being photographed behind the scenes. I am shortsighted, longwinded moving fast, contorted, short sighted, longwinded, and forward thinking. Interpretation: I'm a mess. Well it does not actually matter as long as my hat is on. That's hard sometimes because I'm normally wearing many; the creator, producer, designer and stylist at my events.

So my LyfeStyle Events are full productions for me. I come heavy equipped with hats, scarves, unique suspenders, designer belts, shoes, and of course my clothes and LyfeStyle Models. Set up is important. I love to establish ambient color it creates the mood. Next I have my company Gobo beam across the room all night long to remind the guests that we are here. Often they forget the brands and sponsors which are present. But this one piece of 56mm metal, tells the story of "who" is in the room. Now that's a Jag & Co LyfeStyle Event. #Kbbog5. #Blogjagandco

Jaguar and Company Clothier also known as "Jag & Co.," Designed by music industry veteran, E. Jaguar Beckford (Jag), an Executive Producer and Juris Doctorate of Law in Entertainment, the Jaguar & Company Clothier collection draws its inspiration from her taste for the elitist lifestyle, always stylish and fashionably comfortable.

Established, February, 2013, the line both masculine and feminine, boasts a collection that combines the artistic beauty of vibrant patterns with luxurious fabrics such as cotton voile, silk, and wool, to produce a dual style of vintage chic meets contemporary. 

What makes Jag & Co special is, it offers pieces for men, women, the fashion forward and the fashion novice.  Jag shares her innovative designs with you in mind.

Jag and Co: My "Vest" Revolution

Jag and Co: My Vest Revolution

Vest vs. Waistcoat: The sack suit came into use as common daywear during the mid 1880's and continued with little change well into the first part of the twentieth century. It was used for business and leisure wear, sharing the former with the once mainstays of business wear, the frock and morning coat. The business sack suit was comprised of the coat, waiscoat and trousers, more often cut from the same cloth, although not always so with the waistcoat.Variations in the coat styling offered flap or patch pockets, rounded or straight fronts, and three or four button closing and any combination thereof. Waistcoats were made up in single and double breasted variations, some cut with lapels, others finished plain. The trousers were cut with a straight leg and high waist, a plain finished hem and no pressed crease. A variety of fabrics were used; plain, striped and diagonal worsteds, navy and black being common shades. Fine finished tweeds in checks and plaids were also used. The gentleman at his country home could be found sporting a two-piece tweed suit comprised of coat and breeches or trousers, most often made up in heavier tweeds in broad check or plaid patterns. For hunting, cycling, tennis, cricket or any other sporting activity, a specific style of costume was adopted for each, with the sack suit forming the basis of the style.
