Today’s Webcomic: BACK by @nedroidcomics & @kcgreenn

A dead woman (Abigail) is brought back to life and found by witches. They tell her that she is the key to ending the world. 

She just kind of... goes along with it.

This leads us to a variety of bizarre and hilarious situations within this odd universe. Accompanied by a young boy who tries to convince her that ending the world is kind of a dick move, Abigail goes to face these oddities head-on.

This comic is seriously something else. One shouldn’t get the impression that it’s all random, however. The writing beyond clever at many points, building up this world of strangeness in an interesting way. 

The art may come off as simplistic at first, but there’s an undeniable amount of depth under the surface. The characters and actions are dynamic, aided by a fantastic use of color and particular attention to detail.

And seriously, BACK has one of the most expressive and funny casts of characters I’ve ever seen. Even with characters like Abigail, whose face is often obscured, still shows so much character just in their actions and small bits of speech.

None of this should come as a shock, however, since this comic comes to us from two of the best comic-makers out there right now. So much love and talent is being poured into this, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Before the world comes to an end, make sure you get the chance to read BACK.

Today's Friday Fan-Art stars Abigail from @kcgreenn & @nedroidcomics‘ webcomic, BACK! BACK is... a strange comic, to be sure. The art and writing are super professional; it's a comic that is made by two very talented individuals that explores complex ideas about storytelling in such an immediately clever and unique way. Yet it manages to do so in a way that allows for lots of goofy, dark, and strange humor. It's not something I see very often, but would love to see more of.

I give a strong recommendation to @kcgreenn and @nedroidcomics‘s series, Back.

A woman comes back to life and is tasked with destroying the world. She kinda screws up and mostly helps people instead. Mostly. It’s full of strange humor and totally unpredictable action.

It heavily addresses themes like predestination and free wearing the coat of an adventure story. I guarantee you’ll all get something out of this story.
