#kcpw Empowerment through Fashion It was a great weekend to be available to see the fantastic designs that were presented during this body positive weekend.  The weekend kicked off at #SwopePark Bandstand on Thursday June 24, 2021  and culminated on Sunday June 27th, 2021 with a vendor marketplace. The fashion show on Friday was held at the Delta Athenaeum off of Linwood blvd. The MC and DJ kept the crowd hyped to see the fantastic designs and models that debuted that night. The night present body positive model that proved that any individual regardless of body styles can present a collection that is informative, historical, trendy , and  forward thinking.  I hope to be present to for their next show. The red carpet runway of the 2019 Delta Athenaeum Fashion Show was flooded with fashionably dressed models showing off new styles in clothes that will be added to the collection this winter. The Delta Athenaeum was the beautiful, tranquil backdrop for Kansas City Fashion Week showcase. Models strutted along the runway to a deafening roar from the fashion-crazed crowd. The MC and DJ kept the crowds hyped and even had some last minute models walk for them in an impromptu dance to kick off the show. Taking the National out of National Public Radio...

They're changing one of my favorite public radio stations.  And I don't know if I like it or not.  On the one hand, I really don't like it because no more Morning Edition?  No more WWDTM?  WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!  Those are some of the most popular shows!  I get that they are un-affiliating with NPR as a company due to monetary concerns, but seriously?  Is it cheaper to go with a dozen different providers of content than to go with one?  So, in that respect, I don't like this, I don't like this at all, and they most certainly will not be getting more of my money to keep the station running.

But on the other hand, looking at their new schedule, I see some shows that could be really cool, and The Take Away is back.  I loved that show.  So I'm feeling a bit conflicted.
