Trying This Again
Okay, so like......... I was worried because it seemed like no one was excited about all the products I put designs on.
Turns out my stuff isn’t showing up in my storefront yet. Oops! It’s a known issue that the company is working on.
So I put all my products into a collection, and now they’re visible! I hope the issue will be resolved soon, but I think this should help for now.
It also seems like I’m supposed to be able to edit product prices, but that feature doesn’t seem to be working just yet for me. I was able to lower the prices of the art prints so they’re not as pricey.
Let me know what you think of the designs. :) There are also a few variations in order to make things look pretty.
I did all the graphic design myself, so if there are any issues with the images/products/whatever, please let me know! I’ll do my best to fix it. :)
I’m so, so excited to announce something! I’ve decided to start selling stuff related to this blog!!!
Why?
Well, because I thought it would be fun. I also am close to the end of this temp job I have, so I’m trying to cover my bases. I don’t want to be a literal starving artist, haha.
Society6 takes a pretty significant cut of the sales (since they take care of production and everything else), so I don’t expect it to help much just yet. I also can’t set the prices myself, so if it seems too expensive for anything, I can’t do anything about it (yet?). Sorry!
If you have recommendations for other platforms, please let me know!
I’ve heard good things about Cafepress, Zazzle, Storenvy, and a few others, but I don’t know what my next move is yet. Advice is very welcome!
I’m also hoping to get enough moving to get AdSense and other ways to get revenue. Really trying to get money saved up, but it’s hard because most jobs are too difficult with my chronic pain.
So there you have it: you can now buy stuff to support and promote my blog. Plus, each item asks “Why Aren’t You Writing?” to remind you that instead of staring lovingly at the product on your couch/bed/hand/etc., you could be writing. :D
If you have suggestions for other products or designs, let me know! :) It’s all still a work in progress, but I’ve tried to set up as many different types of products as possible.
