     Careful, careful paw-steps approach the boy from behind. A snack sat opened beside the child that tempted Fennekin’s nose, so like any scavenger, he had to be stealthy and quick. Fast paws sneak just inches away from the boy, a quick glance told him that he hadn’t noticed the wild pokemon there. Good, now he just needed to slowly, carefully lean in to where his teeth could nab the plastic bag of human snacks and tug it away without anyone noticing...

There was something a little fishy about this situation.  But, it’s just a boy, he doesn’t pay it any mind. 

“Oh, I assume you know your way around then.”  “Did you come here for privacy perhaps?” 

Tomoe simply shtip shteps over to the boy and shniff shnoofs his head. She gives his hair a lick, his hair’s sticking up now.  “Pay-pur” 

“Tomoe what did I tell you about licking people’s hair?”

   Living within the jungle’s confines often meant there was danger lurking around every corner,  be it from the pokemon that resided within or perhaps the nature itself.   Whilst the young boy was usually pretty skilled at swinging from the vines within the trees,  he’d misjudged how slippery they’d be from the wet weather,  sending him falling to the ground with a thud.

But it seemed the sound was enough to alert someone else nearby,  turquoise eyes widening in fear once the trainer began to approach him,  attempting with all his strength to try and crawl away.   However,  it proved too much,  the pain from his fall causing a light yelp and hiss to leave his lips   ...

Turning back towards the other,  still fearful of what he might do,  Koko attempted to make himself look as big and threatening as possible,  something akin to a growl reaching the other’s ears.   ❝   Stay away,  no closer!    ❞

          “things can only get better..” he’s had a hard day and all he wanted to do right now is go back to bed and forget anything happened. having his stew burn while he was fishing might not have seemed like much to many, but to a chef like cilan? it was the worst. not to mention that he didn’t catch a single pokemon while fishing, he was losing his touch.

    “It means you’re not listening. Try to keep up, will ya?” And he meant that both literally and figuratively, as he with little more than a passing glimpse over his shoulder went on ahead across the definitely stable, nothing-could-go-wrong path. Or lack thereof. Technically, it was a dam. And technically, it wasn’t their right to use it as a bridge. But the Bidoof seemed cool with it. 

    From what Ash gathered.

    “Don’t tell me you’re afraid to get a little wet,” he challenged, only then turning enough to face his friend with half a smirk. “It’s okay if you’re chicken; I’ll just come by to pick you up later.” In a timely fashion, his foot slipped on a hunk of wood. Flailing arms captured his balance before he could fall, but they had done nothing to capture and stifle that brave yelp.

    He steadied himself and pretended it never happened.

Kris is standing there, idly holding Thorn by their handle. 

Thorn looks very comfortable and okay with this!  It feels like how cats feel when you pet them.  Though anyone who’s not trusted by Thorn wouldn’t know this.
