the dance studio was eerily empty, and one wouldn't even know anybody was there if it wasn't for the light that was on in one of the smaller rooms and the music from ❛ more ❜ blaring from the small portable stereo for perhaps the twentieth time that evening. inside the dance room, a lone figure danced perfectly along the rhythm of the music, singing along as well. it was one of the many evenings that kai'sa spent alone in the dance studio, working on new choreography and refining the already existing ones. with k/da going on a world tour soon, all thanks to the incredibly positive feedback of their album ❛ all out ❜ , the girls needed choreography that would stay true to what was shown in the music videos but also add a fresh touch to them. being the lead dancer and choreographer of the group, kai’sa did what she new best ----- dance.
one step forward, another to the right, a few twirls, a step to the left and stop. rinse and repeat. the choreography for ❛ more ❜ was coming along nicely, the new parts fusing with the ones seen in the official music video almost flawlessly.
even as she took a small break, simply slumped down on the ground against the wall mirror on the opposite side of the door, the raven haired dancer kept the music running, coming up with new moves in her head. dancing had always been kai’sa’s universal language, a way of expressing herself rather than talk. the girls in the group understood that, even supported it, which was something she was thankful for. the fans, too, seemed supportive of such approach.
her trail of thought was broken as she heard the door to the small dance room open. ❝ i didn’t expect anybody to be here this late. ❞ she said without looking up.
