Hi! Love your blog! I was just wondering, my cat used to vigorously lick the rabbit fur trim on my slippers every time the vacuum cleaner was turned on. She would be in my room away from the vacuum but it's loud so obviously she could hear it. She doesn't do it so much anymore when the vacuum is on, now she just does it kind of randomly (to me -- I'm sure there's a reason). My question is: is this like a form of stimming? Like comforting herself with the vigorous licking of the fur? Thanks!

....that’s really odd. Obviously I can’t assess it from a distance and without being there to observe, but it would makes sense that it could be a self-soothing behavior. It’s interesting she gravitated to fur - if she’s a single cat, maybe it was a similar sensation to grooming a companion?
