UGHHHH DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE MISCHARACTERIZATION. im so tired of ppl writing rody to basically be nick wilde or to get in the way of other ships i hate it so much. god. every time i check his tag i weep. ive never felt more "no one understands this character but me (and a few other people)" in a fandom before but here we are
it is such a High Compliment to have my characterization be approved, im very honored 🥺. every time i write or draw him it's a concern lurking in the back of my mind but then i remember his ao3 tag and think. yeah im doing okay actually
NODDING!! forever wishing mha went more into its worldbuilding because genuinely it was one of my favorite parts. quirks are still Newish, ergo, common understanding of them cant be That great. theres so much to think about regarding quirks like dark shadow and pino, esp since. quirk dna is a thing?
One of my biggest pet peeves is when Rody is used in favor of other deku ships (ex making Bakugou jealous with bakudeku and stuff like that). Like as much as I love Rodydeku I also see Rody as his own character. He doesn't have to exist just for the sake of a ship, I'd still love him either way.
I swear whenever I read a rody fic or a fic with Rody in it I always end up thinking "he would not fucking say that."
Honestly I really wish the whole. Concept of quirks got delved into a bit more. Because they did elaborate on it in seasons one and two and a little bit in four, but other than that it was just like "Oh yeah quirks just exist and ard really cool and do cool things." Which is fine but I wish we had gotten a bit more.
