Thank god January is over. Does anyone else feel like January feels like 5 years instead of 31 days? To say I am a little excited is an overstatement. While I am excited to see February enter in I have been highly organised and effective this January. From moving out of my digs, Marie Kondo-ing my life, reading (almost) 4 books and writing more blog posts in the past 31 days than I have in the past 3 years - January you have been a ball that I have certainly gotten rolling. So without a further ado here is my January roundup.
1. Barefoot Investor by Scott Pape
3. The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up
4. Get Remarkably organised
Can you see a pattern with these 3 books? This month I have been getting my life into ‘On’ mode. Getting my finances, or current lack thereof, in order. Getting rid of anything that doesn’t ‘Spark Joy’ and my to-do list is going strong. I highly recommend all three of these books if you want to kickstart or get your life in order.
1. Tidying Up with Marie Kondo
Can you tell I am slightly Marie Kondo obsessed? If you haven’t already, open up your laptop now and start watching. This show is life changing. Yes, Marie may be the cutest woman to ever walk the planet but her method (while usual) is simple and effective. It has, for myself, highlighted the things that I don’t want in my world and those that I do. Thus leaving me with a clearer mind. I also know that everything that I now own is not only practical but they are items that I love and adore. My other Netflix faves have included the Fyre Festival doco and the Ted Bundy Tapes. This month has been all about documentaries.
I actually have been doing dry January but the no-buying-clothes-because-a-i-am-broke-and-b-i-have-plenty.

Okay, okay, so I know I if I say Marie Kondo one more time (but seriously). Here are my favourite humans of January:
