Guys, I finally, FINALLY managed to render a drawing😭😭😭

It didn't turn out the way I wanted, but it's a good start! I feel like I'm starting to understand how brushes work and what colors to use(although the values were very similar😮‍💨). And yes, that's Mono, @yanoverload's oc❤️

Studyblr Quarantine Challenge - Days 9, 10, 11

Oh boy... So I’m really far behind haha have things been hectic for me or have things been hectic for me?? Anyways, this post is going to be a long one as I try to catch up to the past couple days, so buckle up buttercups. 

Day 9, Tuesday, Take a picture of the book you are currently reading.

I just started this book! It’s called the State of Wonder and it’s by Ann Patchett. So far, I’m enjoying it, but I haven’t yet made much progress.

Day 10, Wednesday, Take a picture of your most colourful notes

I have more colorful notes than this, but a lot I either gave to my sister to help her as she takes classes that I already took, or still packed away in my mom’s car from when I had to quickly move out of my dorm room a few weeks ago. Anyways, I think my Korean notes are some of my most colorful because I like to use color to separate ideas/topics, especially when learning vocab.

Day 11, Thursday, Take a picture of the pens/highlighters that you could not live without.

Whoo! Okay I’m caught up now. So these are what I use the most! A couple months ago, I bought all of these Midliners on a whim, but I absolutely love them and they are fantastic for when I read and to mark up text. And I cannot live without my muji pens! They are absolutely amazing and I use them all the time. I’ve gone through many variations of muji pens in the past and have been using the brand since I was in high school. 

Anyways, I’m really sorry for being silent the past couple of days, I promise I’m going to be more on track in the coming week!

practice, practice, practice

if you’re bad at a subject that you aren’t a fan of, please keep practicing. do the math exercise even if you don’t like it. write something down, even if you do not know where to start. read the book, even if you absolutely hate reading.

i used to despise mathematics. mainly because i did not understand anything, which resulted in me only putting in minimal effort into my math work, hence the consistent “F” on my report card. but when i started asking for help, started forcing myself to do the exercise even when i didn’t want to do it, i realised that math gradually became easier.

you won’t get better overnight. no one does. and i can’t promise that you’ll get better in a week, or a month, but i can assure you, with consistent practice, and as long as you are willing to ask for help, your work will come to fruition.

now, i love math. or the parts that i understand, at least.
