Sunday... reflections... I was sitting here, taking in the fresh air, the sunshine... and thinking. Deep in thought I was playing with the words to a family history I had recently worked on... and thinking about the connections... the way the research played out... the things I uncovered... the ability to put an actual real picture to the name... the occupations these ancestors worked in... I always say that I am not the story keeper, but the story teller... I get to take all my findings and put them into a Research Report and recount their lives.... allow their relatives to walk among them... and show them, in color, the way their lives may have looked. We are all made of stories. We are all living our own versions... One day, someone will break down our lives and use the facts and research they find to tell OUR STORY. That's pretty deep... I know... but it's hopefully the truth. I know that I am raising at least one person who will grow up and WANT to know our families stories. That is all I could ask for. I hope there are many more young people who want to know their family history... who want to help uncover others along the way. ************ What are you doing TODAY to preserve your history to share with your family? *********** I have journal-ed since I can remember... and I save them ALL.... (much to my hubby's dismay) so that my kids can see how my life was growing up... read what my thoughts were... my feelings... my experiences. Essentially .... my legacy. And HOW LUCKY AM I that I get to work with clients and uncover their families past... tell their stories that they can them share for generation after generation. If you are looking for someone to uncover your ancestor's past, I would be honored to tell their story! #keeperofstories #storyteller #weareallmadeofstories #genealogy #familyhistory #professionalgenealogist #thegenealogyinvestigator #history #researcher https://www.instagram.com/p/CeJVHDGrisd/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
