If your still taking sketch requests, could you do Jim with a chicken?
My first thought upon seeing this request was the aspect of the Legend of Zelda games where, if you mess with one chicken, you get attacked by all of them. So, I dressed Jim up in a simplified Link outfit and went from there.

22. How many drafts do you need until you’re satisfied and a project is ultimately done for you?Uh, this one depends on the project! A quick fic is usually one draft and post, maybe a brief check for typos. A big fic like wiz-fic is one draft, friend(s) beta-read, then a check for typos, but usually no massive rewriting. My books… those usually go through first draft, full rehaul, and then as many times editing as I can stand. I’d still like to re-edit two first two RM books and they’re published so…
49. What do you find the hardest to write in a story, the beginning, the middle, or the end?Definitely the end, especially for a big project. Figuring out something that’s not too cheesy but definitely an ending is murder.
54. Any writing advice you want to share?This is so cliche, but, seriously, write for yourself! If you don’t want to be writing what you’re writing - especially when it’s fanfiction - then why are you writing it? So if you ask me, try to enjoy what you’re doing.

2) What’s your favorite fic?
To be honest, I struggle a lot with reading digitally, so I haven’t read too many fanfics in my time, and I don’t have a comprehensive handle on all fics published ever. But… one of my favorite pieces I have been able to read through is Phantom Brother, by my friend Rosy. It’s a crossover between DC Comics and Danny Phantom, about Danny having grown up being adopted by the Fentons - and his biological older brother, Dick Greyson, comes to meet him for the first time. Despite all the crazy weird stuff that’s happened to each of them individually, they start to realize they’ve got quite a lot in common. It’s a really good read!
9) Thoughts about Vlad?
He’s really hard to write about; at least, he is for me. It’s interesting trying to figure out what his goals are. They gave him a TON motivations for doing the things he did during the show, and the reasoning kept changing. Which in itself isn’t bad, but when the rest of the characters have such direct motivations and character arcs he starts to feel like a slippery eel, difficult to pin down. Does he hate Danny because of what Jack did? But then sometimes he offers to take Danny on as his own kid, so he can’t hate him outright. Does he always function off of his own greed? It’s like, sure, he’s focused on collecting as much as possible and is centered on his own self-interests to the point of being willing to possibly kill Sam and Tucker as leverage to keep himself alive, but not everything he does is quite so much in that black-and-white self interest, and that grey space is sometimes tricky to navigate believably. For me, at least. He’s interesting but also not easy, I guess, if that makes sense.
15) Who’s your favorite character?
I have always really liked Valerie, even though she’s kind of harsh to the main characters sometimes. I feel a lot for her struggles, how she had to work a job to support her dad in keeping them afloat after Danny trashed her entire life. She was kind of snobby at first, but then she lost so much so quickly. She became a badass who stood up against people and ghosts who wronged her, and that’s something I’ve always really liked. She was always fighting against who she believed to be the bad ghosts, just like Danny. For the short while that Grey Ghost was actually a thing in the show, I kind of hoped that they’d get a bit more serious, that Danny would tell her who he was, and that she’d join the team. It was a little frustrating having all the girls being rivals. The potential for working together to kick ass in an awesome group including Valerie - too good to be canon. Still, that’s what fanfic is for, right? Maybe I’ll write something like that one day.

Is there a trope you wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole?
Arranged marriage. And I generally don’t like fics where the choice to fall in love is taken away from the characters.
What’s the best writing advice you’ve ever come across?
If you want to get good at something you have to do a lot of it. That includes writing. The best way to improve as a writer is such spend every moment you can writing and thinking of stories.
What’s the worst writing advice you’ve ever come across?
It wasn’t really advice, but a “friend” read one of my fics and complained that it was too self indulgent. So I would say the worst writing advice is not to write things that are self indulgent. Fuck the people who say that. Write what you want. Write what you love.
