i drew usurna first but kept drawing bigger and bigger and now she's tiny
sorry my queen for leaving you behind
Coldest take in mankind, but I HATE USURNA WITH ALL MY LIVING HEART AND SOUL, first of all, she killed Vendel (I am aware that's a part of her villain arc but STILL OK?) then she blamed it on my favorite character, AND SHE TRIED TO KILL AAARRRGGHH AND JIM, not to mention her helping Gunmar a bunch.
She's also so full of herself dude "I am the krubera!!!" Sthu 😔.
In my rewrite trolls are created by chipping off a piece of the heartstone which will become the heart of the new troll, whose appearance is dictated by the trolls created by the heartstone (about 10% contribution) and those raising them(the rest of the 90% is divided amongst who has the most influence)
Queen usurna did not actually have any properly raised in any way and that's why they're all identical, that's the appearance of trolls their heartstones makes. AAARRRGGHH!!! was given up as a baby, meaning his appearance was primarily influenced by the gum-gums, since those are who raised him.
Elder trolls are USUALLY created by the first natural chip of a heartstone, which is why trolls like Gatto and Usurna exist, OR, the eldest of the trollmarket if the former elder dies, which is how vendel got his position.
For some reason I can't tag @crum-xd but the person asked my top ten ToA characters in the trollhunters community and here's my list
AARRRGH!!! if you don't know why, just check all the related toa tags or AARRRGH!!!'s tags on my blog and you'll know why, he's a cutie and a sweetie but also so much capable or harm and has a lot of hidden backstory that makes me crazy
Draal. Since I was a child, for some reason, always had this fascination for this idiot that softens his heart and becomes this gentle but dumb guy. I like him, he was my second childhood crush
Angor Rot. This damn bitch has so much backstory and angst potential, that's the literal reason I made him a sister, like, all the redemption potential✨️
Toby. He's a nice guy, he's a supportive, crazy lad and I like him, he's a good friend and a great ally and also cares a lot for everyone
Vendel. Even if at first was very bad at Jim, with time he became like the wise guy you can search when your family doesn't have the answers, he helped both Jim and AARRRGH!!! And maybe talks to Blinky like if he was crazy but never told the secrets to the other members because he knew that was private, he's someone you can rely on and that's great. Since I was young, Vendel meant so much to me as this careful and smart leader. And yes, that's why I hate Usurna so much, she killed someone that was very dear to me
Nomura. With Nomura since the very beginning I had this strange fascination because she was a curious character, she was a bad guy, but overall she also was scary, intriguing, she scared me. Nomura is bad but changes because she was given a way to escape and then becomes good, unfortunately development went on vacation after that but I still consider her an interesting character with forgotten potential
Usurna. Despite I hate her, she's still a weird character I like because she's a strange character. I hate her, but she's still a very crazy crafted villain, she's not ugly, in essence she's physically beautiful, yet never redeems, she's bad because she can, not for circunstances, she wants power and nothing more. She's a very strange character because it's not the way men-lead series deal with female characters (at least of what I remember) and of all of those female villains that don't redeem I saw out there in other media, she's the one I remember the most, she's complex yet you can simplify her, not in saying "she's bad" but in saying "she believes power should be all for her". She's incredibly such a bad person but also so determined it scares me. That's why I compare her the most with Nyra from the Legend of the guardians movie
Jim Lake. Very very low on the list, sorry honey, I like you, but I like the rest more. He's nice, a cutie and great warrior, he's brave but also can be clumsy and he fears a lot, he faces trouble a lot, and fucking dammit he suffers a lot (both in books and in series) and yet he's still there fighthing because he knows he's the only exit of the great evil (as saw in the vision) so, yes, I like him for his bravery
Gogun the Gentle. MY SHAYLAAAA-!! no like, seriously. Gogun is such a funny character in Age of the Amulet, he's funny and yet fears a lot, and I mean A LOT, and yet he likes to dance and kittens and he loves someone and he's scared and yet stays because Jim needdd him, I mean, this guy is so nice, why wouldn't I not like him?
Claire Nuñez. Very low in the list too, sorry honey, I like you but you're not as interesting as the others. Claire is brave and strong, she learns quickly and is very skilled, she's not a damsel in distress but the reason she's so below in the list is because, compared to Nomura and Usurna, Claire doesn't have flaws, she fears but yet she fights, she wants to rescue her baby brother but doesn't understand the consequences, she goes forward the situation and yet she manages to make it end well? I think that, for being part of the main team, she's the ones with the less character development, and I think that was because the writer team didn't want to make a damsel in distress type of character so they made her strong believing that way there was no way people would think is misogynist, but they ended up making a character that is just not as interesting as the other members of the team (and then there's fanfiction fixing that, I love you community)
Special mentions to Eli, Shannon, proffesor Uhl, Gogun's pack of kittens, Sir Barks-a-lot and Bular
And only because I can, I convert this in a tag game, all ToA fandom, RISE!!!!!!!
I tag @kathrahender and @trollmarketreject to start, you can tag as much people as you like
Queen Usurna
How do I kill a troll because I hate this woman so much but also I like her as a character because she's genuinely so selfish and florked up in the head in a bad way. She throws the baby Krubera into a pit they have to climb out of on their own and then doesn't acknowledge them until they're useful. As long as they give up they'll all succeed because they're completely identical except for personal gender identity.
I made her look so DISGUSTED by the viewer.
As SOON as she heard the trollhunter was a human she started heading to the trollmarket wanting Jim DEAD. All she knew at the time was that he was a human. The crystals on her crown are pieces of the heartstone of the cavern. She's incredibly selfish and horrible. Yes I'll take every opportunity to take jabs at her.
But she's selfish, not sexist, her guard is comprised of multiple genders.
She has multiple blades hidden within her fur collar with various poisons based on what she's trying to do. If it avoids raising suspicion, she'll outsource her dirty work like with the changeling.
She sacrificed THIRTY of the babies to gunmar just so she'd be able to be on his side if it worked out for his side instead. She plays both sides because the only one she cares about herself.
The only reason her moss can be green is because of her selfishness. She doesn't need extra energy because she barely shares any. She barely keeps the Krubera alive because she doesn't care about them. She only chips off more pieces to replace the ones that die.
Beautiful ladies, rulers.
Usurna. Queen of the Snow Kingdom of the Krubers. A very strict, serious lady. She is very afraid of Gunmar, so she actively cooperates with him so as not to fall into disgrace.
Bork, ruler of the Ridgelands. Her people were oppressed by Gunmar for a long time, pushing them out of the territories. As a result, he pushed it to the mountains, where people mainly live. Bork is a positive diplomatic girl, in politics she tries to be neutral, usually not to make alliances, to cope with all troubles on her own.
Wise. The ruler of the Wumpas. A people living in tropical jungles, a tribal society. They live in harmony with nature, enjoy its benefits, they do not demand more than what they need. Therefore, the Wise is passively dissatisfied with all countries in general, because they brazenly exploit nature. But the Wise One herself is quite positive
When villains take Jim seriously>>>>
My boy is the best trollhunter btw
