Tired Concept:

I am tired of crying

So I turned my tears into paint to show you the stories I have lived and imagined

I am tired of aching

So I broke my aching bones and turned them into brushes, a tool I use to show you my strength and my pains

I am tired of being broken

So I stopped destroying myself and used those paints and brushes to heal and make something worthy of adoration

I am tired of living,

But I have just started in life and even though I feel like failure and depression,

I know my creations will make someone happy,

And that's enough to keep me going,

Even if it's only for one more tired day.

ALL ROADS LEAD TO ROME

Welcome back to the blog of creations. This is part 6 of the 7-week journey. Crawling closer and closer to the end product. Only one more week left until I reveal the end product of this 7-week creative process. Hopefully, the end product is something that you guys expected and really like, I must say I am extremely happy with the outcome so far !!!  

COURAGE!

I can truly say that after 6 weeks of this creative process, I truly think I have the courage now to show my art to the world !! It took me 6 weeks to work on this project and realize so many things about myself that I wouldn’t have realized if not for this project. This was more of “who am i” and “who do I want to be” than just the final product. I am definitely going to try and work more like this in the future, it’s almost over, and it was quite the experience so far. This is something I would truly recommend if you want to try something new and exciting and if the process is just as important as the final result. These 6 weeks have shown me that it’s not just how you got to the result but why you took that certain road to get there, and how that road changed you as you progressed closer and closer to the end. 

In the next few days I will show some pictures of parts of the painting that is finished, but nothing that will spoil what the painting is about.

UNTIL THE CLOCK RUNS OUT

Welcome back to silly avenue student just rambling on !! We are now in part 5 of this 7-week journey and heading steadily to the end product. Hopefully, you guys are enjoying the journey with me and maybe learn a thing or two. 

BE EXTRAVAGANT

The first thing that came to mind when I saw this week’s creative prompt was - DO NOT overdo things. At some point, you have to take a break, even if it isn’t stopping completely but just slowing down the amount of work that you are doing. Taking a break and letting your brain “chill” for a moment while doing a creative task is one of the most important things to do. By not taking a break and forcing your body and brain to work harder you are simply slowing down the tempo of your work as well as the quality of it. 

So STOP take a BREATH and then continue working. 

For this week I decided the best thing to do was sit back collect my thoughts and see where I am heading, also how far have I come with this project, and how far do I still need to go. I also took this time to make sure all of my other projects are where they are supposed to be. These few days of not working at full speed made a huge difference in my morals and how I felt about this project. 

Whenever I take a break from my big main projects I like to sometimes sit and draw some old school animations, and for the next few days, I will be sharing some of the pages with you guys.

IF IT WORKS DONT FIX IT

Welcome back, I hope everyone is still enjoying this journey as much as I am. This is part 4 of our 7-week creative journey. We have been through a few interesting topics these past weeks, but I think this might be the topic I struggle with the most - CHANGE. 

ABANDON NORMAL INSTRUMENTS 

Trying new things is extremely daunting for me. I hate the exposed feeling I get when trying something new or doing something that I am not used to or good at, even when I’m alone. The act of doing something that is out of our comfort zones puts us in an awkward and vulnerable position and leaves us with our minds running through an onslaught of self-doubting questions. When this is the case fear is controlling the way we act and create, and by pushing all of this away and trying new things we actually grow. Not just as people but also in our creativity. Trying new things not only takes away all of those fears but also allows us to expand our minds and knowledge. It also doesn’t matter if you try something big’ like climbing a mountain, or something small, like drawing once a day, whatever it is you will be more passionate and happier about life. 

For the next few weeks I will be pushing myself and try and get myself out of my comfort zone, and who knows maybe this exercise will even alter the way the painting looks at the end.

WHERE THERES A GAP FILL IT !!

Welcome back to all the creatives out there, this is part 3 of our 7-week creative journey. I feel that the topic of discussion this week is something that a lot of people hate and try to avoid as much as possible, and I’m also very guilty of this. We will be looking at why it is important to do enough research before starting a new project and how it can change the outcome of a project. 

DO WE NEED HOLES? 

Research can find answers to the things that are unknown to us, filling gaps in knowledge, and change the way that we view a situation. Writing down what you have learned is an ideal way to organize your thoughts, craft narratives, or build your worlds based on what you have learned from your research. I feel that research is extremely underrated and people should start to focus a lot more on it before starting their projects. 

Here are a few helpful things to follow before starting your own projects : 

Plan it all out - From A to Z from 1 to 10, plan everything as meticulous as possible. The more you plan the more you will understand, making it possible to work a lot faster.

Make a timeline - Make a list of everything you want to read, and get all the material ready before you start working. Start thinking about how much time you will spend on each aspect of your project and write it down. 

Gather information - There is no such thing as too much information, the more you know the higher chance for a successful project.

IF NOT WHY NOT ?

This is the second week of this 7-week creative course, and today we dive a little deeper into who you are and who you need to be. 

GIVE WAY TO YOUR WORST IMPULSE

Most of us live life by suppressing the worst of our impulses, hiding them in the deepest darkest places inside us - WHAT IF we stopped doing that and from time to time give in and just be who we need to be? 

I try and be the best person I can be. I try to be generous, kind and practise restraint as much as possible in my everyday life. I started noticing that all of that is also part of my creative side, and it deeply affects the outcome of every creative activity I pursue. But constantly suppressing the worst impulses is actually not good for us. We effectively ignore the deeper issues and if we ever want to be the best of ourselves, we need to address those parts of us that represent our worst impulses. Maybe if we took some time and do the opposite of what we normally do we might actually gain something from our worst impulses.

Freud theorized that the human psyche has three parts: the ego, the superego and the id. The id is the untamed beast within each person, that operates on impulses, unadulterated passions and instinct. Ignoring these impulses is like ignoring smoke coming from an aeroplane engine, you can get by for a while but if you don’t investigate, eventually, whatever is not working will have dire consequences. 

For the next week, I will be posting photos that show my worst impulses, and the things I suppress in my creative life.

Welcome to everyone who believe in the power of CREATION !!

This is the first post of a 7-week journey with me, developing my creativity. I hope everyone enjoys this creative course with me and hopefully learn a thing or two about your own creativity.  

DON’T BE FRIGHTENED TO DISPLAY YOUR TALENTS. 

I have never shown my own artworks to the public, I’m quite a shy person when it comes to my own personal art pieces, and I also feel that my work isn’t good enough to be shared with the world. This isn’t going to be just another creative course but rather a process of finding my best creative “self” and becoming better and more creative in what I love doing. 

The theme of this 7-week creative course is FROM MESS TO MIRACLE.

To truly get the best out of these next 7 weeks I’m going to try an art medium that I have never tried before MIXED MEDIA. By trying a new and unknown medium ( new to me ) will be a challenging few weeks, but I feel by doing something that I’m not used to will push my expectations and creativity further than something that I’m used to, would have done. For the next week, I will be posting some of the artworks I have created. I feel that posting some of the artworks I have created, it opens me up to be more creative and explore what I am capable of a lot more. I hope you guys enjoy the next few weeks with me and learn a thing or two about your own insecurities.
