i have been THINKING abt this piece "Carrot and Stick" by @keepyourpantsongohan

ACUGHSDHGSDKGHSDGJ. this is everything 2 me.#the cooking together...the light banter...the way they r so absolutely cued in to each other's physical mannerisms...#beyond living rent free in my head. im giving it a stipend to live in my head#i rlly liked this bit specifically bc it indicated an awareness of each other that was very quiet n perceptive#there was an earlier bit too which Rlly got me where kakashi mentioned seeing tenzō almost mechanically go through the physical motion of#relaxing his posture—in a way that he was familiar with. that he had also been taught. and i was like That's So Good#such an !!! detail to be pointed out. that he recognizes the specific method that tenzō is using to force himself to at least look relaxed#but in order to show that visibly in a comic i'd have to rely on visual repetition which would require a LOT more panels to do at all...#and frankly a whole comic to do in a way that feels as fluid and natural as that one sentence does in writing#also the mention of them just wordlessly and simply switching tasks n places with each other...the ribbing + proding...#the talk of their students...#points at this little fic. it has a home inside of it....it has a home inside of it!!!!#also i decided to put them in t shirts over their underguards just bc. kakashis done that before and it looks soooo funny#'casual' ninja looks except it doesnt look casual at all just like putting a suit over the underguards doesnt suddenly make it formal#it just makes it absolutely silly looking which i love#honorable mention to tenzō's hypocritical little furrow in the brow when kakashi calls him yamato. even tho theyre alone. i love the him...#AND THE THERES NO SUCH THING AS A VEGETABLE. TOO TRUE. some plants you can eat and some u cant#and the#'''You know what you're doing.' Tenzo says. like he isn't doing the same thing.''#EXTREMELY funny. silly hypocrite
