Guys, if you are not familiar with the editor, Kees van Dijkhuizen, I HIGLHY recommend him. He's the creator of [the films of] series and some of the best Cinema of the year (he retired that series in 2012) videos. He took a year-long break and now he's back with a (possibly) new series focusing on directors and their process. He takes the audio commentary tracks and cuts them with examples from their films. This first video is on Derek Cianfrance, and I'm really looking forward to more like this.
Warning: This vimeo version has spoilers from The Place Beyond the Pines. Check out his YouTube version if you haven't seen that film.
Congratulations on completing the challenge, it wasn't an easy one but I've had fun following your progress and reading your ideas about the films you watched. Hope you've had fun and all the best with 222 in 2013!!
Thank you so much! I had a lot of fun, and your "films of series" gave me the extra push to stay focused. Congratulations on your recent Cinema 2012, it was wonderful as expected (superb music choices as well). And here's to another year of enjoying films for the both of us! :D
CINEMA 2012 - KEES VAN DIJKHUIZEN
This guy were doing some compilations about the best movies of the year every year. This 2012 won't be diferent, and Kees Van Dijkhuizen already has the piece, with an amazing soundtrack that many movies would like to have: Tha black keys, Woodkid, LCD Soundsystem and Tame Impala. Another masterpiece for your eyes and ears, the creativity in the union of these two worlds, more united than ever, is reaching its own summit again and again.
Kees van Dijkhuizen’s supercut videos are legendary. He’s been doing them since 2008 and it’s amazing how he blends scenes with the music. He has announced that 2012 is his last video and it’s worth watching (vía slashfilm).
