So I may never live up to the potential I once had and I may not yet like myself but at least I am still here. I still really struggle to eat and sometimes I wish I was dead and itch to open my skin but I am still alive after all this time and that has to be enough for now. Mental illness destroyed who I was and I’m a slowly finding myself again. Maybe I’m not who I could have been or was meant to be but at least I’m still here.
