Chic wintery kimono outfit, featuring a muted hanakarakusa (flowery arabesque) obi, paired with this amazing hanashibori* kimono depicting keitou (celosia) over a rinzu ground of all season flowers.

*Hanashibori is a tie and dye technique using shibori “dots” to draw flowery shapes. Shibori is time consuming so any shibori pieces were and still are pretty expensive. Kimono like this one would traditionally be worn in Winter, especially for New Year celebration.
