Kel’s headspace is based around toxic positivity. The idea that his feelings don’t matter because he shouldn’t be a burden when the people around him are struggling. The idea that he should always be happy so he can cheer others up.

In it, he’s looking for a cure to a parasite that has infected his brother. The parasite causes some similar effects to real world depressive episodes, such as fatigue, apathy, and appetite loss, as well as some fictional symptoms to line up with the illness theme better.

The two of them adventure around headspace together, looking for headspace versions of the real Kel’s old friends who they think might be able to help them on their quest. However, all of them are closed off and distant, and it’s near impossible to connect with them.

Kel’s yellowspace opens up to a modified version of Hobeez, similarly to how Sunny’s whitespace opens up to Neighbor’s Room. This version is slightly larger and homier, with extra consoles, some beanbag chairs, and blankets scattered around. There’s no sales clerk, since this isn’t a genuine store, simply a spot for Hapjack and Hero to spend time together.
