Today I managed to finish the running animations for the Sunspace kids. (but no Hubert another day). Tomorrow I hope to finish Kel and Basil from the RW's moving sheets. And I have to find IF there's some kind of bench in the tilesets... but yeah, have some kids!

I've been thinking about what it would be like if Kel introduced his friends (Cris, Jay, and Mincy) to Aubrey, and what I have right now boils down to this:

Cris, in my mind, is a bit of a social person like Kel, despite her laid-back demeanor, so she would would probably be amicable to Aubrey. She is a bit hesitant though, as she has heard the rumor-mill around the school of her and her gang, but Kel has talked about her in such a good light that she has to atleast give her a chance. Once she finally sees her and notices how she doesn't seem as vicious and angry as what she's heard, she greets her with open arms and wants to know her better. Not to mention how much she like Aubrey's hair, not a lot of people in Faraway express themselves through hairdye.

Jay has also heard the gossip around the school, and is equally hesitant, if not more. He may be the school's football captain and that comes with its own bit of fame, but that hasn't also culminated in attention from... unwanted opinions. But he does trust Kel, as he knows he's not one to like people if they don't have a good side. Aubrey has, likewise, heard about Jay, especially his openly gay relationship with Pretty Boy and how him and his friends saved Pretty Boy from a pretty bad beatdown from some bigots. And she likes and respects that. She may blame herself and the Hooligans for some terrible stuff they've done, she can safely say she's glad they're not homophobic bastards, so their relationship becomes one of mutual respect.

Finally, for Mincy, I've been influenced quite a bit by @donuqx-art and her headcanons. I do think Mincy would be the hardest one to make friends with Aubrey, due to witnessing her bullying Basil firsthand. She would respect Kel's opinion of her because he seemly knows her better, but with what she's seen, she doesn't want to associate with her. Aubrey wouldn't care too much about it, she doesn't care about validation from others. Although, the topic of Spaceboy comes into conversation after some time, and that's where Mincy finds out how much of a closeted nerd Aubrey is, and they both find a bit of comfort in talking about shared interests in someone as well-versed in dumb factoids as them. After that, Mincy sees Aubrey less of a deliquient that wants to cause trouble and more of a rebel that hates the system she a part of. And Mincy is on board with that attitude.
