happy birthday to the silly that is kel !!

it's kel omori's birthday today (11th november) <33

have some of my headcanons that no one asked for:

he uses mainly he/him pronouns but he really wouldn't care if you use any others

he's cis on paper but he's very fluid with his gender expression and is very "gender is a performance"

he's also aroace <33

he has adhd !!

he's the type of friend to randomly buy people gifts with no explanation other than "i saw this and thought of you" <33

he's also the type of friend who always checks on others to see how they're doing (even if they don't check up on him

he's a big people pleaser and will find it hard to say no to people (which gives him big trauma and yes he has trauma !!! idk how you can play the game and think any differently)

he deals with things internally more than externally so his problems are often overlooked

he also hates being a burden so will downplay his own problems and laugh them off with "it's nothing!" (it is not nothing)

when comforting people, he will try to make them laugh by being silly and telling jokes

he'll also comfort people by giving them nice things (i.e. if he's outside he'll find a cool bug or leaf or if he's inside he'll find a soft plush to hold)

he's emotionally immature and struggles with emotion regulation due to his adhd so he doesn't really know how to deal with emotions very well

he is a golden retriever

in the future, he won't go to college/university but instead he'll volunteer at the local youth centre and teaches the kids how to play basketball!

he'll be a gym teacher!

because he won't go to college, he'll get a lot of pressure from his extended family, especially because hero went

he's a glass half full kinda guy

he's a summer child at heart (even though he was born in november)

his favourite colour is orange of course

orange joe is his safe food/drink

he has a hyperfixation on the colour orange so anything he sees that is orange in colour he buys - his room is also very orange

the reason he got into basketball was because basketballs are orange too

he always makes a wish on 11:11

his lucky/favourite number is 11!

After MARI's Death KEL Headcanons

(Discontinued)

A/N: Made it to the second part of my Wattpad headcanons where we're now in a different time frame! I hope you enjoy! :)

Warnings: One of the headcanons can be taken as a thought of wanting to unalive self, there's also a mention of taking medication that was prescribed. There are also mentions of depression!

- KEL was in shock for a while after MARI's death, he didn't understand what was happening or why it had happened. 

- He wanted to ask HERO since his parents wouldn't give him any useful answer, only telling him that they were sorry and that what had happened wasn't his fault.

- He couldn't ask HERO though because HERO had gone into a depressive state and was never interested in talking. 

- KEL had tried to get into contact with SUNNY as well, but SUNNY's mom kept answering the door and telling KEL that SUNNY wasn't feeling up to it or that SUNNY was asleep.

- He would head home disappointed.

- He overheard his parents talking about him and how he seemed hardly distraught with what had happened to MARI.

- Of course he was distraught, he just wasn't showing it. It's not that he wanted to look like he didn't care, because he really did care! He just... Couldn't show it. 

- He wanted to cry but couldn't. 

- KEL was losing himself every day because of everything that was happening, it felt like he had not only lost MARI but everyone else as well. He only had his dog, HECTOR.

- For once his grades improved because he didn't want to focus on everything else that was happening so he focused on school instead. 

- He started to talk to more people than he normally did but they all loved him thanks to his more outgoing personality! 

- He started finding extra things to do, anything to distract him from his growing breakdown, and also to avoid home as he can't bare to see his brother so upset.

- KEL brings food up to HERO for him to eat as he noticed that HERO was definitely not eating enough or anything at all. But most mornings he'd wake up and the food would still be on HERO's desk right where he had left it. 

- He didn't want to bug HERO about it though...

- KEL likes to talk to HERO a lot as well. He doesn't make HERO respond and he doesn't know if HERO listens to him but he likes to tell HERO what's going on.

- He gets very happy if HERO even responds with a headnod and most definitely is gitty at any 'mhm' HERO gives him. Will get the urge to engulf his brother in a hug but won't as he's tried before and HERO's complained. 

- HERO doesn't respond most of the time though, only in a rare moment will he do so.

- HERO's the main person he's worried about but SUNNY would definitely be next on that list then AUBREY then BASIL.

- He's positive that BASIL's got this all handled since he's so mature and positive! But so was HERO and now look at him...

-  KEL has no clue where BASIL and AUBREY went so he never was able to get into contact with them either. He'd gone to BASIL's house and knocked on the door but no one answered.

- Once KEL realised that his whole life had basically been taken away from him he had his first ever panic attack. 

- He hid away in his backyard, just sitting there. He had no clue what was happening or how to stop it and worst of all, no one came to help.

- Once it had passed he was exhausted, he just wanted to sleep forever and ever but then he quickly shoved that thought out of his head, that was the reason MARI was gone, and he didn't want to hurt his brother.

- He was found by HECTOR who gave him a big lick on the cheek! 

- KEL has taken on the role HERO once had when it comes to helping people! He does the chores that HERO usually did, he helps his mom cook, he helps his dad build and fix things, anything really.

- He cries quite a bit by himself. He doesn't even feel sad most of the time he just cries and cries and cries.

- He thinks that this is embarrassing and that he has to stay strong for his brother, HERO needs him!

- He's made it a habit to run every morning, most people think it's weird that a kid that young is already doing that sort of stuff, but KEL's mom encourages it.

- KEL does this to get all of his energy out as early as possible as he's stopped taking his stimulants ( the first one I wrote about KEL says that I think he has diagnosed ADHD :) ) just because he hasn't had the energy to take them and HERO's no longer reminding him. 

- His grades started to decline again because of this though. 

- He's also a lot chaotic, he's now the biggest ball of energy you've ever seen, even more so than he was before and not necessarily in a good way.

- This has also caused him to be more violent, not in a mean way like if he gets mad at you he'll punch you but just that he hits because he just gets the urge to, and he doesn't really hold back either. 

- He has gotten in trouble from this and his parents have gotten mad.

- KEL was absolutely horrified when his brother snapped at him, he honestly couldn't think for once, what was he supposed to say?

- Sadly his first thought wasn't about how he was feeling and how he was upset but about how HERO was and how upset HERO was. 

- Finally realised that there was a favored child and it wasn't him.

- He and HERO talked about everything that had happened and even though HERO wasn't in the best state of mind mentally to do so he still did. Though he cried a lot. 

- HERO would not let go of KEL, he just kept hugging him and even though KEL told him it was alright for him to stop HERO refused to.

- KEL ended up falling asleep like that.

- He was happy to have his brother back, even if HERO wasn't going to go back to how he was before KEL was grateful that HERO seemed to at least be functioning again. 

- He ended up slowly helping HERO out of the little bubble he had put himself in by introducing him to his own friends! They loved HERO just as much as they loved him!

- KEL tried to be there every time HERO was struggling, and would always tell HERO that he was fine, but something about the way HERO looked at him told him that he didn't believe that.

- KEL was ECSTATIC when HERO had told his family that he had gotten accepted by a college. Though he was a little disappointed to hear that he was going to college to become a doctor. 

- That night he won a basketball game against a different school... But that didn't matter! It was about HERO right now, then again, when was it not about HERO?...

KEL with a partner who loves nature headcanons

KEL hates being cooped up so u two will spend a lot of time outdoors, at the park or at your secret hangout spot by the lake

if it starts raining he runs to your house with an umbrella and pounds on your door begging u to come outside and play in the rain with him

he tries to hold the umbrella over your head to be a gentleman but you both end up soaked anyway

he likes the way your eyes light up when u see a wild animal or a pretty forest, so he'll take you to the woods west of faraway town a lot to see you happy

you end up spending a lot of time there, exploring and goofing off together

he likes how well u treat animals, and sometimes leaves you to babysit HECTOR if his family is out

probably assumes u and BASIL get along really well because you both like nature

he gets you bouquets and waters your house plants/garden for u if u have one. he might forget but he'll try his best if you can't do it yourself

overall lots of time in secluded areas outside like the woods or the lake, and lots of just walking around and chatting together (even if KEL ends up doing most of the talking)

A/N: More Headcanons from my Wattpad! This one does contain references to the ships SUNBURN and KELBREY so if you don't like those ships just ignore those headcanons or try to take them in friend way :)

- Very similar to REAL WORLD KEL with a few differences! 

- HEADSPACE KEL is less mature then REAL WORLD KEL was. Often acting more like a 5 year old then the 12 year old he actually is.

- He's also more mean then REAL WORLD KEL is. Not to OMORI and HEADSPACE MARI obviously as no one is allowed to be mean to them but to the other three.

- He's more full of himself and doesn't like criticism that's coming from HEADSPACE HERO, HEADSPACE AUBREY, or HEADSPACE BASIL. 

- He's the least mean to HEADSPACE BASIL, seeing him as weak and whiny and no fun to be mean to.

- Next is HEADSPACE HERO. It could be mistaken as a sibling rivalry but he is just genuinely mean to his older brother. HEADSPACE HERO does get upset at him about it but it doesn't do anything.

- The last one and the person who HEADSPACE KEL is meanest too is HEADSPACE AUBREY. This is due to the fact SUNNY has a crush on AUBREY and sees KEL as someone who could take AUBREY away from him. 

- HEADSPACE KEL feels bad being mean to HEADSPACE AUBREY though, which was weird to him as he's not used to feeling bad for people other than OMORI and HEADSPACE MARI. 

- He likes to cause problems for HEADSPACE HERO. Often getting lost on purpose in the forest so that HEADSPACE HERO will have to go look for him. Though he usually drags OMORI along with him, saying that it's funner this way.

- HEADSPACE HERO and AUBREY always end up looking for the two and once they find them HEADSPACE HERO always lectures HEADSPACE KEL about being careful where he goes and to always find him if he's going deeper into the forest then he usually does.

- This lecture is followed by HEADSPACE AUBREY lecturing him about getting lost with OMORI. Always saying "What if OMORI had gotten hurt? Then what would you have done? Or what if you got hurt?! You gotta think KEL!"

- Always ends up clinging to HEADSPACE HERO after, pretending he's scared or frightened about getting lost just to make it seem like he didn't do it on purpose to give his brother a heart attack. OMORI doesn't say anything to HEADSPACE AUBREY or HERO about HEADSPACE KEL faking it. Only tells HEADSPACE MARI.

- HEADSPACE MARI always lectures him about it, but promises to not tell HEADSPACE HERO or AUBREY so he doesn't get into any more trouble. She also finds it kinda funny but would never say that outloud. 

- He finds NEIGHBOR'S ROOM so boring! He likes being everywhere other than the NEIGHBOR'S ROOM! There's hardly anything to do there! Sure he can play cards and what not but he wants to do other things too! 

- Doesn't understand why they can't leave without OMORI but doesn't question it, because as soon as he starts thinking about it he feels like he's doing something bad and not the fun type of bad. 

- Always peaks into WHITE SPACE to see if OMORI's up and ready to go, but usually can't see much, never wants to go in there. Seems way too dull for him in there. He doesn't get how OMORI can stand it.

- Has seen a SOMETHING before. Didn't understand what it was. But he was scared of it. What even was it? It was just so much to comprehend. 

- He clung to HEADSPACE HERO, afraid. HEADSPACE HERO asked him what was wrong but he didn't answer. HEADSPACE HERO helped him through his fear though, calming him down. Still didn't tell him what he saw though...

- HEADSPACE KEL was surprised to learn that there were other locations in HEADSPACE they had never been to before! He thought there was only NEIGHBOR'S ROOM and the VAST FOREST, and BASIL'S HOUSE if you wanted to count that separately from VAST FOREST.

- HEADSPACE KEL wanted to explore but with no reason to the group didn't, instead staying in VAST FOREST where they played. Much to HEADSPACE KEL's dismay.

- Likes it when they all go over to BASIL'S HOUSE! It's the one time MARI's willing to leave the picnic blanket and it's just nice going somewhere new!

- Blacks out sometimes and wakes up in NEIGHBOR'S ROOM with HEADSPACE HERO and HEADSPACE AUBREY. The two are often worried because OMORI's gone and they don't know where. But HEADSPACE KEL's annoyed because usually he was doing something with them before and now he can't remember!

- He has a tendency to get jealous of OMORI and HEADSPACE AUBREY's "relationship". Fortunately for him OMORI doesn't seem to have the same feelings towards HEADSPACE AUBREY that she has for him. 

- Likes to bug HEADSPACE AUBREY about it, but really it's because he's jealous. OMORI doesn't seem to like this jealousy though. Often crossing his arms and pouting whenever HEADSPACE KEL shows any interest in HEADSPACE AUBREY that doesn't revolve around him being mean to her or teasing her.

- Like REAL WORLD KEL always asks what plants are what. Asking (more like demanding) for their names. 

- HEADSPACE BASIL happily gives them to HEADSPACE KEL, he'll still get them wrong.

- Also like REAL WORLD KEL he tends to get hurt, but luckily for him HEADSPACE HERO knows COOK. So unlike REAL WORLD KEL there's no scabs or anything to pick at because HEADSPACE HERO's already healed him.

- Likes that he's in HEADSPACE BASIL's photo album! Only really looks at the pictures of himself and HEADSPACE AUBREY. Usually makes fun of her though.

- Was confused about what happened when HEADSPACE BASIL noticed a picture that fell out of the photo album that wasn't supposed to be there. Was going to look before he blacked out.

- When he woke up in NEIGHBOR'S ROOM he didn't think anything that different had happened this time around until he realized it was taking OMORI longer than normal to leave WHITE SPACE.

- He looked into WHITE SPACE but no sign of OMORI.

- HEADSPACE KEL even started to worry himself when OMORI wouldn't show up, and when he did he felt relief he had never felt before.

- Was worried when HEADSPACE BASIL had gone missing next, and was surprised to see that he wasn't home. He usually wasn't the nice type, but he did genuinely miss HEADSPACE BASIL.

- They would find him! He was sure of that! He just had to be patient... He had to stay strong for them! 

- Wait? Who's BASIL again?
