Yes, they have! Along with the previously mentioned Sylveon as a transgender mascot, Ho-oh is the mascot of the JAFGR (Johto Association for Gay Rights), and Lugia in turn is a popular figure for asexual and aspec awareness. Other mascot Pokémon include:

* Kelceon and Phione as nonbinary mascots

* Exeggcute as polyamorous mascots

* Azumarill as bisexual mascots

* Illumise as lesbian mascots

* and shiny Kommo-o as pansexual mascots!
