“There are so many beautiful bodies in this place it’s a surprise I get any work done at all.” Ruby leaned against the bar. “But I suppose that’s why you’re here too. Lucky me though, I get paid for it.” She grinned before turning to ask the bartender for a drink. “I am not nearly drunk enough to deal with you.” Mira scowled, the disdain remaining even as she took a drink from the champagne flute in her hand. She paused, extending a finger. “I’m actually impressed that you managed to survive another year. But the night is still young. Maybe things will take a turn for the exciting.”
He stirred his spoon continuously in his coffee cup, his gaze far away as Edgar was lost in thought. He hadn’t even noticed the other vampire walk up until Kellan took the seat in front of him. The younger vampire blinked in surprise, finally registering the face, when he gave a small smile. “Kellan, hi. Thanks for agreeing to meet me for coffee.”

“alright, we’re done with this,” henri grumbled as he pushed his way into kellan’s mess of an apartment. he sighed and rolled his eyes. he stormed over to the tightly shut curtains and threw them open, the neon lights of downtown wildemount streaming into kellan’s apartment. “and you really, really shouldn’t be sleeping in a room with windows. you might have a ring, but it’s just a piece of jewelry. it can fall off.” was that a chip clip on the floor next to the curtains? had kellan really chip-clipped the curtains together? god, was he this impossible when he and emery first ended things? yes, yes you were, some voice in the back of his head whispered. all the more reason to help kellan out now, really. “get up. i’m getting you cleaned up.” ( @kellanxmurphy )

henri desperately needed to talk to his confidante of hundreds of years. sure, they talked before the party and even during, but so much had happened in between that and now. henri knocked on the door politely once. then his impatience got the best of him, and he started pounding on kellan’s front door with his fist. “kellaaaaan,” he cried, face pressed against the glass as he tried to see past the glare of sunlight and into the home.
Staring wide eyed at the various bouquets that sat in display outside, Edgar was starting to feel overwhelmed with so many options. Would it be weird to just get them all? Seeing someone walking down the sidewalk, he flagged down the older vampire. “Hi, sorry, I just....do you think the multicolored roses are better or the sweet william and peonies?”
