10/14: SUPPER CLUB AT KELLY'S: KELTOBERFEST
:: Bubble & Squeak w/ fried quail egg + French onion soup + Sauerbraten w/ spaetzle and salad + Linzer Torte w/ cinnamon whipped cream + pairings of Belgian, French, and English beers + cider ::
Kelly routinely crushes Supper Club and last night was no exception / she doesn't cut corners: she thickened the Sauerbraten's gravy w/ ginger snaps to add sweetness and spice; her spaetzle was so divinely eggy it tasted like the buttery, doughy innards of Yorkshire Pudding
the rest of us brought beers like Belgian St. Bernardus Abt 12, French Fischer Tradition Amber ale, and English Crispin "Browns Lane" Hard Apple Cider to pair w/ each dish
a very successful Keltoberfest + renewed inspiration to get cookin' this fall/winter :)
