Happy release day to This is Beautiful by the wonderful @kennedyfoxbooks! Another perfect book and the perfect way to wrap to wrap this amazing series! My review: Kennedy Fox has done it again, guys! Another perfect ending, another amazing book full of twists and turns (mostly of my heart).

This is Beautiful picks up where This is Dangerous left off, with our girl Kayla waking up and Logan being shocked about what happened next.

This book, man. THIS BOOK. It’s such an impossible situation, for both Logan and Kayla, and my heart kept breaking for the two of them. K and F managed to write it in a way that left me with all the feels, praying page after page that something would happen, that it would all go back to BEFORE again.

This is Beautiful is such a page turner. Once I started it, I couldn’t put it down, which is what happened with every single one of the books is this series! I’m half zombie after reading the Checkmate Duet series for being so sleep deprived! Worth it, though!

Logan and Kayla’s story made me laugh, scream, cry, gasp! It really did give me all the feels!

And what a perfect way to wrap up this amazing series! Thank you Kennedy Fox for writing this amazing series of duets. It’s been so much fun following these couples’ stories and I can’t wait to get my hands on your next books!

I can’t recommend this entirely series highly enough! If you haven’t read these books yet, I don’t know what you’re waiting for!

My Review:

OH. MY. GOD. This book, guys! This damn book! It might just be my favorite in the whole Checkmate series and I really thought nothing could top #TeamDrewtney for me. In the previous books, we get to know Logan and Kayla a little bit. She's an animal lover, a do-gooder, funny and a great friend. Logan is quiet, mysterious and totally into Kayla even though he seems to be fighting it for some reason he just won't share. In the first pages of This is Dangerous we finally find out Logan's secret. Or should I say secretS? That man sure has a lot of baggage, but nothing that Kayla can't handle. Reading this book, at times I just wanted to reach through the pages and shake some sense into Logan. I mean, JUST BE WITH HER ALREADY, YOU FOOL! But Logan is not the only once with secrets and we learn a whole lot more about Kayla's background and upbringing, which wasn't a great one and explains why she's always so willing to make other's lives a little brighter. I loved this couple, guys, loved their relationship and was rooting and fangirling over them throughout the entire book. This is Dangerous is funny, sexy, fast paced, full of emotions and mouth hanging wide open moments. I really can't recommend it highly enough. It's perfection. Oh, and in true Kennedy Fox fashion it ends in the most unexpected fashion. Is it time for This is Beautiful yet?
