Memorable details in today's show:
The nightmare vampire who appears and sings first in Carpe Noctem was a woman. I've only seen men in this part so far.
Today's black vampire was in fact a black vampire.🧛🏿 Keny Oslen, a GORGEOUS 👀😳🫣 dance soloist, and the dread lock wigs were a nice touch, too! I'm so glad Stage didn't go with the old "It’s Transylvania, everybody needs to be white, mimimimi..." that I have often heard among fans. A black von Krolock? I'm down!
In Tanzsaal, Herbert (Christoph Apfelbeck) placed his hand on his father's (Simon Loughton's) hand, who in turn placed his other hand on Herbert's. Such a cute little detail.
Simon did his handkerchief action again. During the biting in Tanzsaal he doesn’t touch her face with his bare fingers, but instead lifts her chin with his handkerchief. Last time I saw him he even turned her face with a wave of said handkerchief and also "dusted" her neck with it before he bit her.
Herbert acted as if he's Sarah's very bestest friend, excitedly waving and jumping as she appeared on the stairs. He also admired her dress and adjusted her ribbon after she had been bitten and his father paraded her around. My new head canon: 1. While everything else happens in act II, Sarah and Herbert have already met and have become the bestest of friends, braiding each other's hair. 2. It was Herbert who designed and taylored Sarah's dress, and he's so proud of it.
If I remember more I'll add to this list.
