Thanks to Tumblr, I can now see.
It was almost a year ago, that I drew and posted my outreach to tumblr, about my Keratoconis, and intacts surgery. I was uncertain about a lot of things, mainly about affording to pay for the surgery that I desperately needed, so that I could continued doing what I love, and support my family. But, thanks to everyone who commissioned me (Sorry to those I could not complete;; )) and especially those who donated. enough money was raised to cover the $500 bill that the insurance required of me, money that I would have otherwise needed to borrow from a bank.
Thanks to everyone, I was able to go through with the surgery, and now that specialized contact lenses have been approved to also be covered by my insurance, I can happily say that I now have 20/20 vision.
This is such a huge blessing, and I cannot thank everyone enough for this gift that has been given to me. For the first time in years, I am able to see the leaves in the trees, and at night, I can drive, without fear of the glare and blur of the streetlights and headlights that made it difficult for me to navigate. I can even see my computer screen much more clearly, without needing to squint, and I’ll finally be able to read the blackboard when I go back to class for the fall.
My life has significantly improved, and it is all thanks to the kindness of every person who reblogged, signal boosted, and donated, to this total stranger, that was at her lowest/
