OK, I get it to a point: most of you #bookstagram readers don't want to hear the real. There's nothing wrong with your escapism. But understand that there are those of us who are actively promoting the truth and authors of color. Case in point: Jelani Cobb, an award-winning Black man, writing a short volume about what a group of white men, over 50 years ago, found out to be true about systemic racism in the U.S. The best book you may read all year, and the real demons are hiding in plain site.
