ohhhh can I get content warnings for the fsn visual novel? sexual assault specifically. i know vaguely there's some in hf and gilgamesh is a Whole Misogynist

it kiiiinda differs between OG and realta nua and it’s OG that I remember most closely bc that’s the one i usually check for specific scenes in (I have more save files to sift through there) but realta nua toned down a lot of the sexual content, especially the bits where ppl randomly threaten or commit sexual violence just bc nasu was feeling edgy in the wake of tsukihime, so definitely go with that version bc some of the stuff I mention might not even be there anymore.

gilgamesh is kind of a cunt in fsn in general but it’s specifically in fate route that he harasses saber about it because he’s focussed on her there. iirc he doesn’t actually get to lay hands on her but he’s trying. 

sakura’s backstory that is delved into in heaven’s feel is that she suffered constant sexual abuse at home for like 10 years. I don’t remember exactly how detailed they talk about it (hf is the route i never managed to fully read again bc it’s so long and heavy) but her trauma and how she deals with it is a core part of the route and something you should brace yourself for the whole time if sexual assault is something you struggle to read about. 

if shinji is on screen with a woman he’s nasty about it like 80% of the time but specific moments where he sexually assaults someone are near the end of ubw route when rin is trapped in the basement and, I think it was about halfway hf route where he comes into sakura’s room. both times he’s attacked and/or killed like immediately after

in ubw route after medea kidnaps saber she puts her in a dress and gets frisky as one of those random edgy moments

uhhhh that’s the ones i can think of right now and it should cover the worst of it. I also want to mention that the narration can get pretty gorey and descriptive about exactly how shirou is eating massive shit and like getting his organs splattered across the street so that’s something to keep in mind too

how do you think grimm and hornet would get along?

Hornet’s not very sociable? She’s got a very utilitarian approach to interactions in HK and the little we’ve seen in Silksong seems to enforce that. Rather than question Lace on what the latter knows, she loses patience and basically tells Lace to fight her already. 

So I think that she’d be fairly standoffish to Grimm- she’s, decided for whatever reason not to swing in with needle bared the moment the Troupe showed up in Dirtmouth. We aren’t sure how much knowledge she even has of their existence, or if she’s encountered them before, but there was a point she decided not to confront them, and so didn’t, so it seems likely barring any Silksong character development, she’d prefer to avoid or deflect, or, if pressed, take it as an attack and retaliate accordingly.

Grimm, also, is fairly passive in that he is willing to sit back and let people come to him- but I can see him being more independently curious of Hornet than she is of him. Which, makes sense. Hornet’s living hand-to-mouth and her priorities are firmly sorted to her self-appointed duty (keeping people out of Hallownest) and survival. 

Grimm, comparatively, is an older and more experienced being; one who is nearing the end of his life inexorably and patiently. He’s got plenty of time to think and put other things on his mind- and he seems... to me, I’ve always read him as faintly patronizing of, but intrigued by PK and the choices “wyrm and root” made on Hallownest. He seems to think they made a mess of things, but rather than a condemnation, he’s sort of taking interest in it like- well, a well-read and experienced performer examining the script for an unfamiliar tragedy.

So I can see him being intrigued by Hornet, both, for what she is, who she was to her parents, and, also, who she is to herself- and being interested enough to poke, and Hornet perhaps retaliating with force. It could end... interestingly, possibly with hostility, because Hornet in Hallownest presents herself as a kind of arbiter of the situation and is very certain of her authority to challenge or cut down any who come into it. And, Grimm, well... he’s not invincible, but he is an incredibly powerful entity for a little demi-godling to take on alone because she doesn’t care much for his prying.

I doubt it’d end in Hornet’s death- Grimm doesn’t seem the type to butcher others over a disagreement- but I could see it easily shaking loose that Grimm wonders, gets Hornet’s goat, she attacks, and faces a lot more force than she was expecting only for Grimm to simply calmly back off and go back to his camp, leaving Hornet shaken over it. And then she leaves and puts that emotion in the box with all the other ones she’s not dealing with, at least temporarily.

But that’s just one possibility- there’s a lot that could flex on what trajectories and contexts these guys would hit each other at, and even this verdict, for me, hinges on a bunch of headcanons. 

I will say I have seen the idea of them being shipped, but to me, Grimm reads as older middle ages while Hornet, however long she’s been a teenager, scans as teens to me, which means that at least in my headcanons of the characters, that’s not a way I perceive them as engaging.
