The most time consuming part of a Keto diet
So far the hardest part of K’s diet is the planning. He is doing a strict 18- 20 Carbs per day, with an 8 hour free period on Wednesdays. I have to look at tons of labels, go Google things I don’t understand, find recipes, and do tons of prep. I imagine it gets a bit quicker once I have figured out what K likes and my master list of recipes ready to go each week.
Luckily, I’ve figured out quickly that eggs, meat, and spices are going to be my best friends. Parchment paper, baking cups, and fridge containers (for extra servings) are a close second.
I’m already finding similar meals to utilized any leftovers from earlier meals and make the most out of our dollars (we quickly realized a Keto diet CAN become expensive)
So, Maybe I can save someone a bit of time and let them know what I’ve figured out...
