Keto Diet Day One
Keto diet day one was an eventual success. Although I forgot to weigh myself, I know that I'm somewhere between 175 and 180 pounds. At 5'2" that's about 32 BMI, class one obesity. Although I'm only on this diet to become healthier and lose the weight I need, I won't be counting calories and obsessing over numbers.
Since I started away from my house, I made the mistake of not eating til break at work. There wasn't anything I could eat at the house I was at. So I practically INHALED my salad on break. At home after work, I had a protein pack with ham, Turkey, and cheddar. And I've been chugging water constantly.

Today really just does go to show that carbs, for me at least, are an addiction. And definitely one I need to heckin' kick. It started... honestly last night probably, when I decided one glass of whole milk wouldn't hurt. Then it turned into two glasses. Which turned into taco bell for lunch today, because 30g of carbs isn't that much right? And then a cookie that was sitting in the kitchen, and then another, with milk of course. And then my fiancé's soft taco he didn't eat earlier. Then some chips.
I'm disappointed but I can't beat myself up forever. It happens. You may trip up and fall, but you can't let yourself stay down. You've got to pick yourself up and keep going.
I've got food prepped for the next few days. Wednesday I'll get to go grocery shopping I hope and then I'll do some more food prep. I want to make some more low carb muffins. I need a sort of grab and go breakfast for work.
So yeah! I hope everyone else is doing well. Keep up the keto everyone! We can do it!

Keto update...
I’m on day 10. I took a ketostix and it says I’ve got a large amount of ketones. I’m also feeling less hungry and more awake. Finally starting to see a change!
We're having a Mardi Gras themed potluck on Tuesday in my office. My HR manager was going to make dirty rice & andouille sausage but she decided to do the cauliflower rice instead of those of us doing low carb.
Keto Diet Day Five
Today was fulfilling. Was able to eat cold cuts and cheese from the local deli fresh.
My mom and I hot a keto coffee drink from Starbucks that I found online thanks to some poking around on Instagram. I have the screenshot below for others to find. The second pic is mine and the third is what I showed the barista. Starbucks is very accommodating for Keto. That was surprising to me, but made sense once I considered all the people needing caffeine fixes like myself.
And at work, a salad was my meal.
My weight is 174 lbs. I've lost 5lbs in 5 days. If I lose 1-2 pounds a day, I'll be slimmer in no time. 😮
