Y’all YALL!
We totally caved and bought a blood ketone meter. We have the pee stick ones but they aren’t very accurate and I’m someone who is super motivated by something tangible. That trait has been really challenging when, as it always does, the scale fluctuates. So I figured being able to test my ketone level would be a great way to not only learn about myself physically (what knocks me out of ketosis etc.) but to celebrate and help me stay motivated. AND because I’m still nursing my daughter some keep an idea on my levels to make sure they aren’t going too high into dangerous territory.
So anything above a .5 reading signifies the body being in ketosis and 1.0-3.0 is in the optimal zone. I’m so proud of myself right now!
