The filling: 3 tbsp tomato sauce 2 tomatoes 8 slices mozzarella cheese Salt Black Pepper Italian Seasoning Sesame seeds (optional)
✓ Mix the shredded mozzarella and cream cheese in a large bowl. Microwave for 90 seconds.
✓ Add the beaten eggs and almond flour.
✓ Knead with your hands until a dough forms.
✓ Spread the dough flat into a rectangle shape on parchment paper first using hands and then the rolling pin between 2 sheets of parchment.
✓ Spoon the tomato sauce onto the center of the sheet, lengthwise, then put sliced tomatoes, mozzarella, sprinkle salt, pepper, Italian seasoning.
✓ For preparing the braids, make ½” slits using a pizza cutter or a knife on both sides of the leaving a ½” space from the filling. Starting from one end, fold the braids one after the other, alternating sides, angled over the tomato-cheese mix. Continue braiding till you read the other end, seal the ends properly.
✓ Brush the braids with egg yolk and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
✓ Place it on your baking tray by lifting and transferring the parchment paper.
✓ Bake for 15- 20 minutes at 420 F until golden brown.
