Thank you @nicnsmth1 for inspiring me with their fanart, haha! I've been itching to write some more headcanons!
Elio:
Has the most and best food at the reception
Cries at the alter and has to be calmed down
Says his vows with tears in his eyes
He's been dreaming of this moment since forever and his very excited
Gives out hats as party favours
"I attended the Kealoha-(Last-Name) Wedding!"
There's a set of two toy bears in every gift bag, representing each spouse
If the wedding isn't astronomy themed, there will be astronomy references
Has the longest initial guest list
How big the ceremony and how many guests ends up being heavily influenced by his partner
If you/your MC wanted a smaller ceremony, he'd cut down the list
If you/your MC wanted a big one, he'd go all-out
Finds his partner beautiful, doesn't quite have the words to express himself; yet the flushed, blushing, stuttering mess says it all
The best afterparty ever
He and his partner get a ton of gifts, even from people who didn't attend
He gets very emotional throughout the entire ceremony
Is proud to show you to his family
Flaunts the title of "husband" very proudly, more so than the ring. (If there is one.)
Percy:
So very anxious
Spends the entire week worrying and double-checking
A lot of insecurity and doubt coming in last minute
Forgets it all the moment he sees his partner
Practices his vows often because he's scared of forgetting them
Starts getting misty-eyed at the alter, but manages to get through his vows before crying
Gives little trinkets that remind people of both him and his partner
Prefers a more intimate ceremony, whatever that means for him and his spouse
If there are rings, his wedding ring stands out from the rest of his jewellery.
And he shows it off PROUDLY
He gives so many compliments to his partner
Gifts are cooking/art supplies and games
The wedding isn't super traditional, since that's just not who he is
He will have those silly wedding games at the receptions
He'll take regular wedding photos and then silly ones
Jamie:
Surprisingly shaken, but is an anchor through the chaos
Has the smallest, most intimate ceremony
That doesn't mean that it's not super impressive/grand
If a fancy-ass wedding is what his partner wants, that's what's happening
The guest list is pretty much just the most important people to him and his partner
Has his vows memorised way before the wedding
Misty-eyed during the ceremony, but is wiping your/your MC's tears instead of his own
Ends up flat-out crying anyway when alone with his spouse
He baked the cake himself to suit his/his partner's tastes
The floral arrays actually mean something in flower language
Would whisper the meanings of the flowers to his spouse, just to fluster them
The gifts range from sizable sums of money all the way to gardening tools
The best moments are when he's alone with you/your MC
He finds his partner stunning and is super excited, but prefers to act on his feelings rather than just saying them.
The Besties As Part Of The Prep Crew
Deja:
The calm one who prevents chaos
Perfects the clothes + sharpens the look
Helps organise the whole thing and makes sure everything is in place
Probably the best person to choose for a Maid of Honour/Best Woman speech
Brushes a tear away during the exchange of vows
Keeps the mood alive afterwards
Holding her best friend while they cry
Barely keeping it together herself tbh
Keeping Cam anchored too so they don't cry too hard
Ultimately is super happy and proud
Cam:
Hurriedly helping out where they can
Gives a ton of ideas during the planning process
Helps cool you/your MC down with jokes and banter
Yet, they aren't much calmer
Promises they won't cry, but ends up sobbing at the wedding
If they're the chosen one, (Mate of Honor, I've heard) they will cry
Even though they're anxious, they'll do it because they love their friend so much
The story will probably be silly as hell, but they'll still get emotional
Acts slightly dramatic for shits and giggles
"It was supposed to be me!"
As they dramatically pretend to faint into Deja's arms
Reynah
Helps Deja plan the whole shebang
Makes sure that everything is run like a tight ship
She wants to make sure that this day is PERFECT
Gives you/your MC a peptalk beforehand
Will tease both spouses for sure, but not too hard
Probably the only friend that doesn't end up shedding a tear
That doesn't mean she's any less happy, she just needs to make sure everything is flawless
Would be a pretty good maid of honour/best woman, but her speech would definitely poke fun at both spouses at least once
Would be an amazing singer to have as live music
Acts a bit like a proud mother
