A gold, enamel, and diamond keyless pendant watch in the form of a scarab beetle, ca. 1900.
Gold and brown enamel in the form of a scarab beetle, the back naturalistically chased and engraved with the insect's abdomen and legs, translucent red enamel covered wings heightened with black enamel spots, diamond-set outlines and neck, the forelegs forming the pendant, pusher to base of wings opens wings to reveal dial, diamond-set eyes, pusher for hand-setting to left of beetle's neck, case back hinged and opening to reveal glazed cuvette. Swiss origin.
