Helena! I'm back with another Thot for our lovely professor! (I was anonymous last time, but we're going to be brave now lol)

Okay. So. I was thinking. Imagine this ...

Professor Bob and TA are in his office working. (she's got her own desk/work area I guess). All is quiet but for the gentle scratching of pen on paper and the ticking of his old grandfather clock, tucked into the far corner of the office. The only light is the buttery soft lamp light and the coming dusk through the window. Our girl has a habit of chewing the end of her pens or flicking them through her fingers when she's deep in thought (think Ice in the OG Top Gun with the pen thing). Bob can't help but glance at her more and more frequently, as she gets lost in her work, he's getting more and more distracted by the thoughts in his head about what else those talented fingers could be doing...her lips...her tongue...

I know sending asks can be really scary, especially asks like this, so I appreciate that you've come off anon.

All I can say to your thot is yes. Yes, to all of it. I think Bob would be annoyed with her tapping the pen to her books or flicking it with her hands, and he almost snaps at her to stop, but then he looks at her. He sees that adorable crease between her brows as she concentrates. The way she smiles when she reads a paragraph that'll be useful for her research. He watches her sip coffee and her tongue darting out to catch a stray drop and he nearly loses it. Eccentric Professor Bob has TA on the brain, and those thoughts send his blood racing to very, shall we say, inconvenient places. He has to excuse himself at one point to get some space, just so he doesn't do something he'll regret. He's just so damn attracted to her.

Unapologetically taking a nap. Eating a whole bag of crisps. Watching your comfort show or movie no matter how many times you've seen it before. Having a hot drink like tea or coffee. Eating a whole packet of biscuits. Putting on your favorite songs and dancing around the house like you did when you were a kid.

It's a complicated answer, and we would be here forever if I had to tell you the whole story. But healthy and mature friendships mean everything to me, whether they're with people I know in real life or online. Friendship means being able to talk about things, to call each other out, voice concerns, and not have it be a cataclysmic event. It's honesty and mutual respect.

No worries :) You can't force creativity, and speaking as someone whose relationship hit a bad patch partly because I wasn't getting the balance right between real life and writing, no excuses are needed to focus on real life happiness.
