#Day7 I dedicate my ride to Charlotte and the children of the parents on my team. I want looking for Charlotte yesterday but there were many metaphorical signs all around me. I ended the ride for the first time with a Yuengling. I realized yesterday that I still have a lot of raw emotions about her cancer journey from 3 years ago. It's still fresh and I truly thought I found peace but still need to work on it. . . We are biking in Key Largo Florida today. I am just going to enjoy the ride. Today is the last full ride of the journey. Was having waaaaay too much fun last night at the SandLot Bar. Apparently found a pineapple to hug! 🍍😍 . . It was the first time our team actually can let go. We are all corn hole dancing machines. People wear g-string bikinis in Florida too. Brit was giving everyone dance lessons. The more I drank the better I got at corn hole. I also won't get over Brian S. dancing to an EDM version of Frozen's let it go. We walked all the way back to the hotel at midnight. Still getting on my bike today. No hangover. We just did 103 miles in Florida!!! I am so proud of them since it was a first for many on this team. I remember my 1st century on the #4kforCancer. 💙💛🚲🍍 . . I rode for Grace, Bo, and Steven and their parents who are on my team. These wonderful parents lost their children too soon. Visiting the Charleston Cancer Center was the most rewarding experience on this trip hands down. Being in a cancer center is not the greatest ever. Sadly it is one of the most painful uncomfortable experience to go through. What made it hands down great was the opportunity to help relieve that pain and help people forget about it for a while. I sat down with 2 wonderful women while they were receiving chemo talking about dogs, the shore, and dollar general stores popping up randomly. The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults gave the center a bell for patients to ring when completely done with receiving treatment. So everybody is grilling me on #Day4 getting donations on the ride and I got none. Rick passed me to 2nd place. Dave is still in 1st place.
