If you want to throw your piano career out of the window, here is another piece composed and performed by Nikolai Kapustin. I have been adding his videos to my “Watch Later” list on Youtube with excitement and listening with dismayed awe. How any pianist can play the complex chords, dissonances, and jumps he proposes, I will never know. Here are some Variations by Kapustin from Opus 41. If you wish to become a master, listen to virtuosos. They make you realise that mastery is within the reach of anyone willing to work (not whine, like me).
