WIP... I thought I was going to be able to finish this by this afternoon, but I forgot my HVAC was getting serviced this morning, then I decided to get an easy trap installed, which extended the visit, then I had to make lunch, and then, and then, and then...

the exterior is not finished, but I'm working on the first floor; I like to jump around when I build because it helps me maintain the feeling throughout and keeps things interesting. the living room layout was pretty much set, then I felt like this house would definitely have a fireplace and the house it's replacing had one as well. fortunately, I didn't have to do much to accommodate it.

we're just going to pretend those are family photos on the mantle and console tables for now...

WIP... or not. I really only worked on the interior because I had to figure out where I wanted the windows to go. and I only needed to know that so the exterior could look finished from any angle. and I only needed that so the neighborhood would look complete as shown in the first pic. but I got a little carried away. it's a 4-unit, 1-bedroom complex. each unit is a 2-storey with a partially enclosed balcony and designated parking. I might put someone there eventually, but right now, it's just atmosphere.

WIP... in addition to working out reshade settings and my editing process for Keystone, since everyone exists as their future selves right now, I'm working to turn the clock back, which means getting some folks back into their past living situations and deciding if the builds are fine as they are, need some tweaking, or actually need to be (re)built.

this is Quela's place, by the way; the one with the white trim. other than leaving all the stairs where they are, I've gutted it and now I'm redoing it as a duplex.

WIP... I have de-palmed Willow Creek, Newcrest, Magnolia Promenade, San Myshuno, and San Sequoia. I'm not not done finessing the landscape, but it feels so good to look out and not see a palm tree spoiling the scenery. looking forward to Spring in this save.

I will have my Mid-Atlantic-esque archipelago.

WIP... crime scene...

WIP... this is a bedroom in one of the residential units in the behemoth. since Keystone existed long before I returned to the sims, a lot of things like place names and neighborhood types were already established, so when I decided to migrate the story from serial comic to the sims, I knew I would have to rework the map to incorporate the sims worlds. I finally got around to it and some of the changes lead to the behemoth being moved from a lot in Newcrest to one in Copperdale.

it's my first time building in Copperdale and my only take away so for is the exterior ambient lighting is too bright; night and morning should not look the same.

anyway, still working on the prologue sets; I had to take a break to learn how to recolor walls and edit an object mesh, neither of which are above. except for recoloring floors recently and a hand full of objects a couple years ago, I haven't actually tried my hand at cc since the first game, and except for walls and floors, I have no real desire to.

I have one more one-room set to build, then I can go back and finish furnishing everything else. After that, filming begins...

WIP... I Can't Wait Until You Find Out... That's the name of the prologue sequence this set will be featured in. It's a room in this house. I'm usually building living spaces for single or partnered adults, so it was a nice change of pace to focus on a teenager's room.

WIP... Mom-mom's house. I think, for the most part, my families skipped this era. They went from plastic-covered 70's era furniture--lots of gold and browns and oranges, velvets and damasks--to whatever nonsense the early 20-aughts was doing with the hideous over-sized pillow-padded leather seating and all the everything else that was dwarfed by the boxy flat screen behemoths.

So rather than try to recreate some memory, I just went for obnoxious within the limits that I could stand considering I will have to spend time on this set. But thanx so much to @awingedllama for graciously providing the needed elements to do so.
