Wow. This has to be the strangest book I have ever read. And I loved every word of it. It’s short but filled with bittersweet emotions. It feels raw and harsh but gives so much realistic perspective I think a lot of authors are scared to deliver to their readers for fear of not producing a story with characters we can see as good and hopeful. This book is depressing. It fills you with real resentments and disappointments. I think it was personally, one of the most relatable books I have ever read. I devoured it, I loved the mind twisting time line coupled with the harsh tone and vivid scenes.
I gave it 5 out of 5 because I think this is a gem. It stands out for originality, rawness and composure. I let my guard down with this book and it hurt. I can honestly say I felt real, relatable emotions that, when succumbed to, felt crippling. I really appreciate having gotten to read this story and I would only recommend to those with an ability to endure some dark life lessons.
“You deserve every star in the galaxy laid out at your feet and a thousand diamonds in your hair. You deserve someone who'll run with you as far and as fast as you want to. Holding your hand, not holding you back.”
