The Series 1 2+2 was launched in 1966, 9 inches longer and with a proper rear door and an occasional rear bench seat and more luggage space. and the only six cylinder E Type with an option of Automatic transmission. This striking home market Series 1 E-Type was first registered to a Mr Ian Sommerville of Lanarkshire on October 25, 1966, at which point it was finished in black, the change to the current red livery occurring in 1979.
