Modern AU where MC is a famous celebrity (I didn't know whether to make MC an actor/musician, so let's pretend they're both or something) but is secretly a vampire and one night the LI's accidently come across them feeding, and because they're very drained they can't use hypnosis on the LI's.

Asra

They were walking near a forest to collect herbs and then noticed a small trail of blood which eventually led to you feeding on a goat.

They always knew that there was something supernatural about you. They just didn't expect you to be a vampire, they always thought that you were some sort of fairy.

They prepare a spell once you finally notice them just in case you try to attack, they were not prepared for you to plead with them to not tell anyone.

They try to calm you down and reassure you that they won't tell anyone then proceed to ask about your condition, as to which they agree to become your blood donor.

They thought it was cute that you kept bringing gifts and medication for them whenever you came over for blood, as a way to compensate for drinking their blood, and eventually starting a friendship.

They become confused when you start visiting them more frequently without requests for blood but instead requests for going to places like amusement parks. The frequent visiting also causes fans to take interest in the shop.

Faust is a bit scared of you at first and thought you were attacking Asra the first time you came over to drink their blood. She eventually was reassured by Asra that you're not completely dangerous.

Both of you become more open and affectionate towards each other, once you ask them to be your partner and ask them to move in with you because your fans are crazy and the shop really doesn't have the best security.

They're surprised that you offered to turn them, but they're still thinking about it and think it would be interesting to be a vampire.

Nadia

She got lost in another senator's estate and refused to ask for help which she regretted when she found out the place was built like a maze. She then proceeded to enter the kitchen where she found you feeding on an animal carcass.

Though it was surprising for you to get caught and to convince her that it wasn't a prank, she decided that she would offer herself as a blood source in return for connections with the monster-realm in return she would keep your vampirism a secret from the humans.

She doesn't really trust you at first and it's not because you're a vampire but because of your social status, but she soon realises that her belief was misguided when you start helping her with her speeches and giving her some laws on the other world for her to study.

She isn't shocked when you decide to visit her for the company instead of blood, she's relieved because you're one of the few people whose company she actually enjoys, especially when you bring her treats and other exotic things that she can study and read in her spare time.

She does get flustered when you ask her out on a date and pull her away from all her work to take her someplace you both will enjoy or at least somewhere relaxing to take her mind off work. But she's happy that you asked her to be your girlfriend.

The attention and good reputation you both receive from being with each other in the public definitely help both of you. You with getting new investors and projects and her with getting offers to create opportunities between the two realms and other senators.

She is amused and sometimes disturbed by your and Chandra's rodent hunting habit with you draining the blood of the creature before chopping it up and offering it to Chandra. She thinks you should stop in case you two catch a disease.

She is hesitant towards your offer of turning her into a vampire, she just needs to finish making her pros and cons list before making a decision.

Julian

He is a fairly well-known doctor and a regular at a bar where both of you know the owner. So he was surprised to see the bar almost empty except for the owner, who continued their regular business and a famous celebrity drinking blood from a goat carcass. Until they noticed him.

He's scarred for his life when the bartender blocks the exit and commands you to explain what's going on. Once he noticed how unhealthy you look he gladly gives you permission to enter his clinic for blood bags in exchange for him to study you.

He's surprised by the amount of research, books, and other vampiric artifacts, knowledge, and small gifts you brought with you the first day you came to get some blood bags. He doesn't think the gifts are necessary but he enjoys them since it's good alcohol.

He tends to ask a lot of questions and often makes you prove which vampire facts are true or not. He also asks about the century & world you were born in and how it differs from the current time and the human realm, if you were born around the same time and in the human world, he will get flustered.

He starts worrying for you and studying you even further to make sure that there's a reason behind your suddenly frequent visits to his clinic without the need for a blood bag until you tell him you just wanted to spend some time with him.

He's amazed that you want to start a relationship with him. He doesn't take too long to get comfortable around you but he's not too sure of himself and if he feels as though he crosses any boundaries, he becomes a bit flustered and tries to convince you to stay away from him until you point out that you are a vampire, but he's happy nonetheless, he's secretly a fan of your work, which Portia teases about when he finally introduces her and Mazelinka. They don't mind the fact you are a vampire but are a bit wary at first.

Business for him has increased due to the free publicity you give him by being seen with him and coming to his office and home on a regular basis. Due to this, you make him move in with you after convincing him that your place is safer than his.

He's almost tempted to take Malak to a vet when he notices how silent he gets when you come around for blood bags or, on the rare occasions if Julian allows you to, Julian, so you have to get Malak some jewelry to make him like you.

You have asked about turning him and the rest of his family, he is a bit hesitant but agrees, he will try to discuss this with Portia and Mazelinka.

Muriel

He was out one day collecting some wood for his cabin with Inanna when he noticed a trail of blood. He thought it was serious and decided to drop everything and check it out. He was expecting an injured animal, not an elk carcass being drained by a famous celebrity

He was so confused as you awkwardly asked him to not mention this to anyone or try to attack you. Once he snaps out of his trance and notices how sickly you look, he and you manage to make a deal especially if it involves fewer animal carcasses.

The first few times you come over for blood are a bit awkward especially since you brought gifts and some toys for Inanna, and he really didn't know what to them and said that the gifts aren't necessary. To which you disagree.

He's surprised to find out that you're actually good with animals when you aren't planning to feed on them. So he tends to relax and spend time with you playing with Inanna and upgrading the cabin to make it more comfortable when you come to visit for no particular reason.

Muriel.exe stopped working when you proceeded to ask him out on a date and for him to be your boyfriend. He said yes after he made sure that you were in fact talking about him and not another Muriel.

He becomes flustered when Khamagalai walks into the cabin unannounced while you're napping on his shoulder. Once they're done having a conversation about you, which you overhear, she senses that you're not a bad person and is fine with both of you being a couple, she eventually proceeds to thank you and ask for an autograph when you "wake up".

He doesn't really ask anything about you or your job even if he wants to so, you just kind of pick up on that and tell him some funny stories or other sorts of things about yourself or about being a vampire.

Inanna doesn't really seem to mind much about you being a vampire, and hunting elk, she's a wolf she gets it, but she will try and pull you away from Muriel if she thinks you've fed on him for long enough.

He's not very certain that he wants to become a vampire if you ever bring it up, he's too afraid of hurting someone and worried about where you'll get your blood supply.

Portia

She was working on a case and was on the trail of the crook she was after in a deserted part of the town she was in until she nearly caught up with them but heard a few grunts and hisses when she finally neared in on them she noticed blood on the floor and worried that they hurt someone, she was not expecting it to be the opposite way around.

Luckily for you, you didn't kill the man just managed to knock him out with how much blood you drank. You were snapped out of your bloodthirst when Portia asked "What the hell's going on?" To which you had to explain everything and ask her not to tell anyone. She noticed how sick you look and made a few conclusions, so she agreed in exchange for help.

She's surprised that you actually honoured your word and brought her information on every sketchy celebrity she was investigating and a few people connected to the monster realm, in exchange for blood bags she managed to get from Julian.

She warms up to you quickly but will ask questions about you, how you became a star how you became a vampire, about your background and the other realm, and a few other things that almost make it seem like an interrogation with homemade biscuits.

She's surprised by all the new equipment and baking-related gifts you bring her whenever you see her along with cat food recipes and cat toys for her to try out on Pepi. She does tell you not to buy as many gifts but doesn't want you to stop getting recipes for Pepi.

She's flustered when you both try to ask each other out at the same time, but she laughs it off and agrees. She's really excited to see what you've got stored mainly because she really likes you, she's a bit of a fan, and secondly, so she can see if authors managed to capture what vampires would do on dates.

Pepi's a cat, she can tell if you're trying to hurt Portia or not so she's not as worried. She also thinks of you as a humanoid cat because like her you are more active at night and provide her with a bed to sleep on during the day.

She's truly surprised by how many clients specifically celebrity clients she managed to get due to you visiting her often and fans managing to catch you entering her office a few times. Due to both of you being a bit wary about the amount of attention Portia's been getting, she moves in with you because no one knows where you live.

She wants to experience the vampiric lifestyle but she will consult Julian and Mazelinka about her decision before she makes it final.

Lucio

He couldn't sleep and was feeling restless so he decided to hunt some game in the forest near his mansion, for away from society, so he was a bit confused to see someone else enter the forest. So he followed the figure but couldn't catch up until he hear a dying sound from an elk and assumed you caught what you wanted, but still wanted to chase you away.

He was prepared for blood and gore but he wasn't prepared for his favourite celebrity to be drinking straight from the elk's neck. Once you notice him you ask him not to tell anyone. He decides he won't and decides that the bodies he brings back won't be wasted and he would never really do it, he loves your work.

He's surprised that even though he didn't ask for it, you bought him some of the finest and most expensive items he couldn't dream of getting and some quality toys and meat for his pets. He greatly appreciates that.

He's interested in vampires or more specifically you, so he will ask you to disprove a few things, use your powers, maybe try to get you to bite him cause he's very into it, he will ask you a bit more about yourself as he has no interest in the monster realm or anyone else when he's with you.

He's glad you're not bothered by his actual profession and that you're actually willing to get him more clients even in the other realm which pays more, and some of his targets are interesting enough for him to spar with. If it is in the other realm you are always around to grab him if the situation is bad or at least give him some weapons or artifacts to send him home.

He tries to hide his shock and bashfulness when you ask him to be your lover, with ego and "Of course you would choose me" while he's internally screaming that he's dating his celebrity crush. He's even more bashful when you take him to someplace extravagant but not allowed to the public and introduce him as your partner to your friends/coworkers or anyone who hits on him but he loves the possessive nature and attention he gets from you.

He likes having these small contests with you, whether it's hunting, cooking, you win most of the time due to skill and the fact that you know how to not start a fire, and such, but he finds himself having a good time especially when you join him for his workouts and to play with his dogs.

Melchoir & Mercedes have been with Lucio long enough to know when he's in danger so they don't try to get you off him if he lets you feed on him, but they will pull you off when they want to play with you and him. Camio really doesn't care he's getting extra attention and better food.

He's totally on board with becoming a vampire, doesn't surprise you but it makes his job a lot easier & you're happy that you've found your soulmate.

The Forest Provides

Summary: You and Muriel have been trying for a baby for a long time. One day, Muriel finds a baby alone in the woods

 Word Count: 1880

 Pairings: Muriel of the Kokhuri x Female Reader

 Warnings: Minor spoilers from the main plot, very mild angst at the beginning

 Married life with Muriel had been absolute bliss but lately you had felt like something was missing. It wasn’t until you were visiting Asra in town and started noticing the families around that you realised what it was; a child of your own. When you brought up your desire to Muriel, he was surprisingly open to it. After months of trying, you were starting to get a little discouraged.

...

 One night, you were lying in bed with your husband, idly tracing patterns on his chest.

 “What’s on your mind?” Muriel mumbled, his soft voice pulling you from your thoughts.

 “I’ve just been thinking... we’ve been trying for months for a baby and I’m wondering... what if it’s me? What if when I came back... not everything works right? I’m getting scared that I can’t carry a baby... The next time Nazali is in town, I’m going to ask them if they can do a full check up on me.”

 “You don’t trust Julian to do it?” Muriel asked, a little surprised.

 “It’s not that I don’t trust him, he’s one of my dearest friends. It’s just that Nazali has had more experience. They might be able to provide some answers...” You started to tear up a little at the thought of not being able to have a baby of your own.

 Muriel held you tighter. Much like you, he had been having his own doubts about his ability to give you a child. What if it was his fault that he couldn’t give you the child you wanted? Muriel chose not to voice his concerns in order not to worry you further. For now, he would just hold you in his arms and comfort you until you fell asleep.

...

 The following morning, Muriel was walking with Inanna in the woods looking for a few more supplies. Suddenly, the wolf stopped, sensing something.

 “What is it, Inanna?”

 Inanna started sniffing the ground, following the scent in a hurry. Muriel followed, feeling worried about her safety. Finally, she stopped in front of a tree, sitting proudly, tongue lolling out to the side.

 “Inanna, what have you...?” Muriel stopped dead in his tracks.

 Nestled under the shade of a tree in a basket was a sleeping baby. The infant had a head of soft black curls and was wrapped in green blankets. Muriel gentle knelt down and picked up the precious bundle. Disturbed by the sudden movement, the baby woke and opened her eyes, revealing them to be fawn brown. Muriel froze, afraid the baby was about to cry but instead, the infant simply cooed at him. He noticed a name had been lovingly stitched into the baby’s blanket.

 Kalila.

 “Inanna, can you see if you can find the parents anywhere?”

 The wolf started sniffing the ground and followed the scent for as long as she could but ultimately lost it. Muriel couldn’t help but wonder who would leave a defenceless baby all alone in the woods but then he thought about his own parents and how they gave him up to save his life. Maybe Kalila’s parents were also left with no choice... Muriel decided to bring her home with him.

...

 When Muriel arrived home, you ran up to greet him but stopped when you saw the basket he had in his arms.

 “What is that?”

 “I found her in the woods. Inanna and I looked for her parents but couldn’t find them,” Muriel replied, finding a safe place to put down the basket.

 Asra, (whom had dropped by for a visit), poked his fluffy white head from around you.

 “A baby...”

 “I brought her in. I won’t allow her to end up like us,” he said, turning his head to Asra. Asra gently placed a hand on his friend’s arm with a gentle smile.

  You were in absolute awe of Kalila. Carefully, you took her out of her basket and held her close.

 “She’s perfect,” you smiled, tearing up a little.

 Muriel couldn’t help but smile. At least in some form, he had given you the baby you had so desperately wanted. Then another thought crept into his mind; would he be a good enough father for this child?

 “You should get Julian to give her a check-up,” Asra said, gently picking up Kalila for a cuddle.

 “Does he have to?” Muriel muttered, somewhat bitterly.

 “Asra has a point, Muriel. We want little... Kalila to be healthy, right?” you stated, checking the baby’s blanket for her name.

 Muriel grumbled under his breath. He knew you were both right but that didn’t make him like it.

 “Right, then. I’ll go set it up,” Asra smiled, handing you back Kalila. “See you in a while!”

 With that, Asra headed out the door. You couldn’t help but laugh at the sullen expression on your husband’s face.

 “Wh-what?”

 “You’re awfully cute when you’re sulking,” you smiled. His face turned crimson.

 “I’m not sulking,” he protested, but the pout in his lip told another story.

 “Yeah, you are...”

 You were suddenly interrupted by Kalila cooing.

 “I’m going to be the best mother in the world to you...” The baby seemed to understand you and snuggled up close.

 Muriel knew that was true but could he say the same of his parenting skills? Time could only tell and he hoped he would be a good father to Kalila.

...

 A while later, there was a knock on the door. You opened it to see Julian standing there with his doctor bag and Asra holding some kind of bundle. Smiling, you ushered the pair inside.

 “I hope you don’t mind, but I told Nadia about your situation and she said she was more than happy to help,” he smiled, showing you the contents of the bundle. Inside were all kinds of baby supplies, from clothes to bottles.

 “We’ll have to thank her the next time we see her,” you smiled. Muriel made an affirmative grunt.

 “So, where is the bundle of joy?” Julian asked, removing his menacing looking coat and gloves.

 You went over to where Kalila was cuddled up to Inanna in front of the fireplace.

 “I’m going to take her away for a bit, okay? I’ll bring her back soon,” you assured the wolf. Inanna gave Kalila’s head a lick and allowed her to be picked up. Kalila giggled and cooed happily.

 “Here she is,” you said, placing Kalila on the table so Julian could examine her.

 The doctor began his task but the baby began to fuss.

 “Stop! You’re hurting her!” Muriel snapped.

 Inanna jumped to her feet, snarling and ready to protect Kalila. Julian raised his hands in defence.

 “It’s okay... I’m not hurting her. I think my hands are a little cold. That’s all the problem is...” Julian carefully went over to warm up his hands by the fire, under the watchful gaze of Muriel and Inanna. You kept a hand on both of them to keep them from tearing the doctor apart.

 Once they were warm enough, Julian went to continue his examination. Fortunately, that was indeed the issue and Kalila allowed herself to be poked and prodded.

 “She’s perfectly healthy. Just come and see me for regular checkups and call me if anything happens,” Julian smiled, putting away his equipment after cleaning it.

 “Good. Now get out,” Muriel grumbled.

 “Muriel,” you chided.

 “It’s okay, Y/N. I’ve got to get back to the clinic anyway. You coming, Asra?”

 “Yep! Right behind you. I’ll see you two later.”

 Asra hugged the pair of you before leaving with Julian. You had wondered why he would be at the clinic with Julian but you decided that perhaps that question was best unasked.

 Inanna trotted back to her comfy spot by the fire and settled down again. Muriel picked up Kalila and placed her back next to her furry godmother. The baby giggled happily and snuggled into Inanna’s fluffy side. Muriel smiled warmly at the pair, happy Kalila took so easily to his faithful companion. He watched them for a while before helping you get the place set up for little Kalila.

...

 That night, Muriel had a dream.

 He was standing in front of a familiar hut, wondering what he was doing there. Muriel was about to knock when the door was opened by an older woman.

 “Muriel!” The woman enveloped him in a tight hug.

 “Khamgalai? What are you doing here?”

 “What kind of question is that? I live here,” she huffed, bringing him inside. The inside of the hut was just as warm and inviting as he remembered.

 Khamgalai bustled about, making Muriel sit down.

 “Why... why am I here now?”

 “The Hermit told me you seek guidance...”

 Muriel’s brows furrowed together. He knew what was troubling him but he didn’t want to be a burden.

 “You’re worried you won’t be a good enough father to your new found daughter...” It was more of a statement than a question.

 Muriel opened and closed his mouth a few times before simply nodding.

 “I’m here to tell you that you will be a wonderful father to Kalila... and to the child your wife is carrying.”

 Muriel’s eyes widened.

 “Y/N is not... I mean... she...”

 “Oh, my! Yes, it is still a little too early to tell yet,” Khamgalai chuckled to herself. “But assure you, Y/N is pregnant. Your prayers have finally been answered.”

 Muriel stared at the smaller woman in shock. How did she...?

 “I answered them. Dear boy, I know you have doubts but I promise you this, Kalila will grow to be a strong young woman under your guidance. You will teach her all she needs to know. Same with the new baby Y/N will bring into the world.”

  “But...”

 “No buts! No more self doubt! I will come back to smack some sense into you if I have to!”

 Muriel managed a small smile and got up to hug Khamgalai.

 “Thank you...”

 “You’ve got a long journey ahead of you. I will always be watching over you. Rest assured. Give my love to Y/N...”

...

 You woke in the middle of the night to Kalila softly wailing. Stirring, you went to get up to tend to her but Muriel beat you to it.

 “I’ve got her...”

 You watched as he carefully took Kalila out of her basket to give her a bottle. Muriel hummed to her as he prepared the warm milk for her. The baby stared up at him adoringly as she waited, the sound of Muriel’s rumbling voice gently soothing her. Your heart melted at the sight.

 When Kalila was fed, burped and put back to sleep, Muriel returned to you. He wrapped his arms around you, holding you close and placed one hand on your tummy.

 “You’re going to make a wonderful father,” you sleepily purred, nuzzling him.

 Muriel thought about Khamgalai’s words. He suddenly found himself excited for this next chapter of his life, knowing he had all the love and support of his family and friends.
